That's a great interview (although Joe Casey writes 'Devil, not Masquerade...). I have to echo what Jim says about Joe, our esteemed editor. The guy works his socks off non-stop, he does a great job keeping 12+ books ticking over every month, and he doesn't get enough credit in the industry.
13 issues for volume two is great news. Hopefully there'll be more from Black Terror, 'Devil, and Masquerade once their initial four-issue runs are over, too.

Great piece but he refered to V-Man as D-Man.
Should we start a thread for interviews like we did for the Info sites?

Informitive interview, but there were some concerns and some victories in this piece.
1. PSv2 will be 12 issues!!!! This is good and bad. This means it will be a year until Black Terror resumes and at least a year until we get anymore solo series or a team book.
2. The more and more I read these interviews it seems as if Terrors series is going to become a mini when at first it was said it would be ongoing, and on multiple occassions.
3. They seem excited about the Inheritors and hopefully they will get their own mini or ongoing in the future.
4. Again, the 12 issues for v2 is great, but I don't want it to slow the process of solo series and mini's, which it will. I hope they decide to publish titles during this 12 issue run. Also, it seems like they are only planning 3 PS volumes, if this is the case then I hope they keep the universe going after that with solo and team books.
All in all this interview got me a little worried.

I agree on all your points.
1. It would be to long a wait if no new books come out u ntil the end of VOLUME 2.
2. It's sounds almost like what they are doin g with the Lone ranger series. It's an ongoing series that comes out only when they are ready, not on a regular basis.
3. The inheritors looks like it could be interesting.
4. P:SP seems to be a jumping off point more than a continuing series. They'd better start putting out books before the end of Volume 2 or they stand to loose a lot of interest and momentum.
Lets all keep our fingers crossed!!

I think we're worrying too much. We worry that with comic prices going up we won't be able to afford all of the comics we want. Then we worry that we'll only get one title in our favorite line instead of four titles. I trust there is some kind of grand scheme Dynamite, Ross and Krueger have worked out. Maybe we'll get more spin-off stuff during Vol. 2, maybe not. As long as Vol. 2 is at least as good as Vol. 1, I can be happy. My two-cents, from a poor man's persepctive, married, 4 kids - less is more right now. It's a lot easier to follow one book than four.
Also, I didn't take Krueger to mean that they only plan to make 3 volumes, just that that is only how far ahead they have planned right now. I plan to sit back, relax, and enjoy what Superpowers I'm given - and keep pestering them about some form of color reprints :D .

The more and more I read these interviews it seems as if Terror's series is going to become a mini when at first it was said it would be ongoing
I still get the impression that it's going to be an ongoing series, although I wouldn't doubt that there is a delay between the first and second story arcs. That's fine, as I prefer quality over quantity, but it would be nice if DE kept their fans better informed as to what's going-on, as "ongoing" usually implies "monthly". I wouldn't mind seeing an issue or two done by another creative team (you know, like a "fill-in issue") just to keep the book in the public eye and keep current fans happy.

I don't see why they couldn't or wouldn't publish additional titles during the next PS series. With new characters set to debut in the next series, some of the heroes from "Chapter One" might get pushed into the background. As it stands right now, fans of the series seem to be buying two titles published each month, and whenever Masquerade comes-out, it should be three, showing that enough support is there for two-three monthly titles.
There's no good reason why Black Terror couldn't star in both the main PS title and his own monthly book at the same time, and if 'Devil's series is popular enough, why not give him another mini-series or an ongoing?
I believe in the idea of slow and steady growth, with an emphasis on "steady". It's worked for other publishers in the past quite well in building a comic universe, and DE shouldn't take a step backwards by reducing their production to only one book.
Also, it seems like they are only planning 3 PS volumes, if this is the case then I hope they keep the universe going after that with solo and team books.
I got the impression that Krueger only has 3 main arcs planned, and I wouldn't be surprised if he walked away from the line at that point, or maybe he'ld focus on The Inheritors after the third chapter. Hopefully, by then, everything will be set for several other ongoing series to continue on without him.
Great piece but he refered to V-Man as D-Man
That came across to me as being more of a typo on CBR's part and not a case of someone not knowing who they were talking about.
Should we start a thread for interviews like we did for the Info sites?
I think that's a great idea putting links to all of the interviews in one easy to reach thread. It will make life easier for new fans who want to read them.

Ghornet is right, if DE does not publish any series during the 12 month volume 2 (could be 14-16 months with delays), they may loose fans with lack of interest. Especially is the series isn't that good. If it is good then between volumes 2 and 3 they need to take advantage of the momentum and publish titles in ongoing formats to keep the readers interest, if they pause and focus on just the volumes then they may loose some readers do to the void. I for one want product, I want the "brand" to grow and I want the universe to expand. In time it will, but a whole year of possibly no extra titles wouldn't be smart.
