Another great issue. The story is compelling enough. Kato springs to life at the hand of Colton Worley. The whole book should be nominated for an award.

Man, I agree. This and Year One have been awesome. GH and Kato are probably the original hero "buddies" (ala Power Man/Iron Fist, Blue Beetle/Booster Gold, etc).

I'm debating on if I should drop to or not, ony because as a mystery it will read better in graphic novel form. I'm going to wait on the Serelock Holmes book that's coming out for the same reason.

The TPD is scheduled for release in December. It collects Kato Origins 1-5. I certainly don't know why the title pages lists it as "Kevin Smith's Kato Trade Paperbacks" since it was written by Jai Nitz. I almost didn't click on the link because of that.

...it was written by Jai Nitz.

Yet is so much better than Jai Nitz's Parallel Lives. Goes to show how much of a difference having better material to work with makes.

I hope Nitz remains a regular in the Hornet "stable" of writers. I like his style.

I really enjoy the storyline and writing but in Dec 2010 Previews you will see that Issue #10: The Hellfire Club, ends the Kato Origins series.
