The Red Hand continues to prove a worthy opponet and the ties to the original Kato are making for an interesting story. This character is looking to be more interesting than the titles first attempt with Black Hornet.

This issue lays out that it's been a week since Mulan's nearly fatal injuries. I had been curious how long she had been out and glad to see that the writing team didnt' gloss over her injuries but incorporated into the character arc. A mostly healed Mulan and partially drugged Mulan going through Red Hands gauntlet was fun and how is Britt going to break free of his bonds. Kato taking the Black Beauty to meet his former apprentice...can't wait.

This series just continues to impress me!!

I really like the way Hester and Parks are adding more and more layers to this story. In #18, we are learning more about Red Hand and how deep his thirst for revenge goes. I am dying to know what happened between him and the original Kato to spark this? And that doesn't even resolve the arc!!

Wonder if we will see Moonbeam and Scowl come back in the finale?

I am confident the writing and plot is in good hands as Hester heads off. I am just worried about the art.....

I almost skipped this thread. I think you guys are actually talking about #17. :p

Red Hand will be to Green Hornet what Joker is to Batman. Even if Parks were to leave the book, any writer taking over would have to be a complete idiot to let this guy fade into obscurity. He's got a history with the character and feels like a threat. I'd be interested in a one-shot detailing his background.

Not going to say much about #18 until people have had a chance to read it, but I must say that this is the best that Igor Vitorino's art has looked in this book to this point, IMO.

Good background on Redhand too. Good book overall.

It's comics like this that make me hate monthly comics. I want the next issue yesterday if not sooner! Good fight scenes, interesting background info and a great cliff hanger.

This was a great issue. Best issue since the original creative team left. The levels of the conflict between Red Hand and Kato are building. Some extracurricular feeling between Britt and Mulan is emerging. Cant wait to see the conclusion.

I have been hard on Igor Victorino's art, but this issue is MUCH better. Much more realistic and cutting edge. I hope he keeps it up.

Sure wish they would release the next issue early!!!

When is it okay to talk about #19? :p

Stop right here if you don't want anything spoiled.

You've been warned.

OK, anyone still think that Redhand will be back regardless of the hinted suicide at the end? Too good a villain to not return.

#19 was a strong issue. I also wonder if we have seen the last of Red Hand. I was hoping he would be a recurring character. I really enjoyed the depth of the storyline and how they got Clutch involved. I have enjoyed the original Kato based story, but am looking forward to some Britt and Mulan based storylines.

I am confident in Parks' ability to provide strong stories and scripts. He has done a great job with Hester and is ready to fly on his own.

On the downside, I think the art took a step back from the last issue. Right now, I think that is the weakest link of this title. In #19, Britt seemed to look more like Kato's son that Britt Sr. I hope we can get back to crisp artwork we saw with the original team.

So if Redhand started training with Kato right after the "original" Hornet and Kato quit, and as an adult, he'd be about 50 years old. Is that about right?
