How about THIS: Mallory (if he is still alive) killed Terror...
Terror would not let someone he doesn't know get close to him... Jack would have kicked the door in and trashed the whole HQ in his rage. Vought Guy/Girl would have sent who?! Red River?! Not the most subtle operatives...(and their attempts to infiltrate The Boys HQ have always resulted in dead agents in the past...) Terror is too smart and tough to let just anyone get close to him and snap his neck (remember what Terror did to the Crimson Countess?). Terror either 1. had to know his killer, or 2. his killer was SUPER FAST... (A-Train? Homelander?)...Homelander KNOWS not to mess with Terror, though... What was the actual cause of death, anyway? Remember, Terror's body was not mutilated... His death appeared quick and not overly violent...It was almost... merciful?... Hmmm, I've gone full circle back to Mallory on that point....
Raynor probably could have gotten close (but, she wouldn't get her hands dirty, or would she?)... Monkey is too afraid (but would have had the motivation) The Legend hardly ever leaves his basement... But, Terror would have trusted The Legend...
And Black Noir, as ever, is a wild card....
One thing: The killer had to know about the confrontation on the roof, and picked the perfect time for the crime... I doubt Homelander consulted Vought Boy/Girl before heading over to the Boys HQ...They would have talked Homie out of it...
How amazing is it that The Boys don't have any electronic security measures in their HQ? It didn't look like the lock on door was broken, so that meant someone picked the lock? Hmmmm...
But, maybe I'm thinking too much about this... Maybe it actually was Jack who said his "magic" word...

hmmm. I dunno. I'm still convinced it was red river, but I also suspected that Terror was injected with a little V to toughen him up. so who knows?
I'm just wracking my brains as to how all the loose plot threads and mysteries are gonna get resolved in such a short space of time. eg, when will Hughie find out about what happened in Russia?
who will survive after the cataclysm? I suspect la Femme might be one of the only ones...
Will Darick draw the last arc, or, in the vein of G-men, join in half way?
hmmm, indeed.
Also, is Hughie a vought mole? At least unwittingly? Did he not read the fine print when he signed that contract way back in the beginning?

I.E. Who Profits?
VG is a possible candidate, at least in keeping the Se7en and Boyz occupied while he runs his own agenda.
The Legend? No connection or motive there.
Mallory, while he had the 'means' to kill Terror, he doesn't seem to have the motive (unless Huey was dead on about Mallory's 'retired soldier' to be another act. More later)

It couldn't be Jack. As some posters in this forums have already pointed out, dude was pulling a tantrum, he couldn't have killed Terror without messing him and the boys' HQ up.
Mallory seems like an interesting theory, but I think it might me Vought girl's doing. Vought Guy doesn't seem to care about what she does. In fact, he seems to be encouraging her to provoke a poostorm.

I think it was Annie. Maybe she was nosing around in Boys HQ, became frustrated, and said, "Fuck it!" Unfortunately, this time Terror bit off more than he could chew.

My point exactly... If Mallory really was "retired" why bother following Hughie in Scotland?... Why bother keeping in touch with MM? Mallory snowed Hughie once, why not twice?
And now, at the PERFECT time... MM gets the email that causes him to lose it... It's like someone who knows the Boys really, REALLY well is hitting them where it hurts... Don't forget, Mallory (and Raynor for that matter) thinks that Butcher is too dangerous to be left running wild... Maybe Mallory is provoking the confrontation so the Seven take Butcher out... Then, the blackmail info on Homelander gets revealed, and the Seven / Vought American take a big hit on the verge of their planned take over...
Can't account for random wolverines, unfortunately......

Raynor is my suspect, at first i was thinking vought guy but, after reading all the way from issue 1 again it just seems to obvious. I just cant see somebody like her not stewing about butcher threatning her family and letting him off with that. She also strikes me as type that will believe she will never be found out or that in her mind there could never be any reprisals she couldnt handle.
Must admit though, your point about Mallory in Scotland has me second guessing myself again.

I found the whole wolverine thing both ridiculous and hilarious, especially the front cover and the " the best at what he does " quip.

I found it odd that Vic The Vee... (uh, gulp, Prez?) knew enough to get out of the way...
Odder still is VG's reaction...

Not sure if its odd or not, the way he dealt with the guy in the mission control room durring the brigde incident was pretty well timed and ruthless in a no nonsense sort of way. This is definatly a scenario i would believe a telepath could be involved.

Either that, or, as another poster pointed out, Vic may not be as dumb as he lets on.
Scary thought...

I think Vic isn't retarded, it's just one hell of a front. Or, mind control. With the 9/11 flashback, that shithead can't even pronounce "Americans" without a heavy-parody accident. "Clear Green Leader hot" or whatever the specific wording...? No way, man. Mind control. Gotta be Vought Guy, or some team under his control, controlling the yoohoo.
Mallory's a great hypothesis--I refuse to believe he's dead--but it doesn't seem like Ennis would make a character like that a dog murderer. Ennis seems to have a gentle side towards pups--which I appreciate--at the very least, anyone to murder a dog with a nail through the head gets pretty bad f'ed up within a month or two. I'm inclined to think it was Ms Bradley. She leaked the film then sent someone to murder Terror.
Has anyone asked if the Boys' territory could be wired? If the 7's HQ is, and VA know the Boys' MO, what's to stop them from doing the same thing and just acting differently with the information they're pulling?

here's another one: I suspect that there's something dodgy about Frenchie, considering that he's the only member of The Boys who doesn't have a specific grudge to bear, a sentiment reiterated by the Vought people. Then again, perhaps he's just 'a mad cunt', as Butcher puts it.

I think he's just a mad cunt. He's been shown to be deeply humane and tender to the Female throught the book. I predict a happy ending for them both.

The relationship between Frenchie and the Female makes me think of that movie Leon (back when Natalie Portman didn't left her mouth open after she was done talking and the Academy showered her in awards for it), but with the roles somewhat inverted: The Female's the I-can't-stop violent murderer and Frenchie is the please-do-it-for-me softer character.

Personally, I think it'd be hilarious if it turns out that Terror choked on a beer cap and died of natural causes.

Think on this:
Jack is smart enough to know he would need to stick by the Seven for protection/survival if he did anything to the Boys... He would never expose himself by going to Doc Peculiar's alone (the place that got him into trouble in the first place and had videotape of him released).
Jack's power makes him the perfect fall guy for killing Terror. Butcher would never let Jack speak, or explain himself for fear that Jack would utter his "magic words" and make himself invulnerable. Jack was completely unprepared for Butcher at his door. Wouldn't Jack have kept himself as "invulnerable" as possible if he was afraid of retaliation? Wouldn't he go somewhere safe rather than expose himself? I bet Lamplighter didn't leave Seven HQ at all after what he did to Mallory's grandaughters.
I still don't think Vought Guy (Stillwell) or Girl (Bradley) had anything to do with it. Vought Guy was busy with Vic and the president and the Vought agenda. Vought Girl was terrified she had overstepped herself by starting the whole confrontation in the first place. The person would have almost had to have observed the confrontation at the top of the flatiron (or gotten called immediately after, or just before it happened) and known the Boys went out to dinner...
I think MM could/would contact Mallory about something that big.... I also think MM would have had SOME reaction to Mallory breaking off contact, if Mallory were REALLY dead.... MM seems to know Hughie has been in contact with Mallory...
So, it could be half-a$$ed writing based on plot convenience rather than sense... OR writing with brilliant plot twists.... OR it could just be I just can't handle Mallory = Grandpa Simpson.
Raynor still would have the means and the balls to do it, though... and she did set up Hughie with the G-Men....

I think it was Monkey, and Butcher is going to full-on Homelander on his azz when he finds out. I really don't like Monkey, and if Ennis wraps up his minor characters in The Boys like he did in Preacher, I'm sure we'll get to see Monkey meet his demise.
