Time for part 2 of the story.( If you haven't read part one of A struggeling scriptwriters view on things please do so, the story will be difficult to follow otherwise)
To recap: During the fight in the white House Black Noir and the Homelander killed each other, Butcher killed Annie and Hughie killed Butcher, Hughie has been taken into custody by Vought goons and is now facing Stillwell in his office.
STILLWELL
You have cost us Mr Campbell. You and your associates. Years of planning ruined. Our greatest source of income gone. The fact that your ringleader is dead does nothing to compensate for the loss. Tell me mr Campbell what would you do in my place with the man that cost you everything?
Hughie is silent for a while.
HUGHIE
Did you know i am a writer mr Stillwell ?
STILLWELL
I did not.
HUGHIE
Oh yes, I was going to work for Victory comics actually as an inker. When one of your supercunts killed my girlfriend.
STILLWELL
I am aware of that part of your history.
HUGHIE
I’d like to pitch a story mr Stillwell.
STILLWELL
To what end mr Campbell?
HUGHIE
You’re holding all the cards mr Stillwell. Just hear me out, if you still feel like killing me afterwards do so. But please hear me out.
STILLWELL
Proceed.
HUGHIE
It’s about a band of oddball individualists brought together for a common purpose. You would have the basic characters. The cool-headed leader who snaps commands, the muscleman with the hair trigger temper, the femme fatale, the screwball, the innocent kid, the loner with a secret. Achieving more united then they could ever do apart.
It would have a lot of sex and blood of course, that stuff sells. It would be dark and “Edgy”. Everybody likes that word so much. It would be a comic for the times we live in now. No alien invasions but corporate greed and shady politicians.
Do I have your interest mr Stillwell ?
STILLWELL
Am I to take that you want a comic to be made about the Boys mr Campbell?
HUGHIE
Not just a comic mr Stillwell. I want the boys to come work for you, to work for Vought.
STILLWELL
Why?
HUGHIE
There are a lot of supes still out there. They didn’t fell in in with the Homelander but they don’t trust Vought either, not now they know what you had done to the G-men and the American people don’t trust them so what can they do but run?
How long you think it will be until some tin pot dictator from South wankistan get’s his hands on one of these wankers? I mean they’re idiots but still dangerous idiots.
A lot of firepower out there mr Stillwell, a lot of loose ends out there.
STILLWELL
Mr Campbell we are perfectly capable of cleaning up
HUGHIE
Your own shit. Aye you said that and before you were right. But not now. You are being watched mr Stillwelll, Vought is being watched very closely. Red River has been compromised and it will take some time to find a new company . The Boys are trained to deal with supes and are ready to go right now.
STILLWELL
Will everyone in your team feel this way mr Campbell?
HUGHIE
Some might not, I will deal with them.
STILLWELL

Hughie is silent for a while.
HUGHIE
It’s a funny thing getting what you want.
Both are silent for a while
STILLWELL
Very well. You can start immediately. I will email you the specifics of the people you’ll be hunting, if you could send me a list of what you think you might need. We’ll set up an contract later.
HUGHIE
You do that. I will break the news to my team.
STILLWELL
Oh mr Campbell.
Stillwell pushes on a button on his desk and a door behind him opens. Behind it stands a gagged and bound A-train.
STILLWELL
I believe this is yours.
HUGHIE
Aye aye so it is.
STILLWELL
Press this button when you’re done. A cleanup team will take care of what’s left.
He leaves Hughie and A-train alone.
CUT TO:
Hughie walks into the Boys HQ and tells the whole story to MM, Frenchie and the Female. MM of course is furious. He refuses to cooperate and storms off. Frenchie also declares that the Female and he will not stay. They will go away and leave the violence behind them. Frenchie says he is convinced that the Females urges will pass in time.
Hughie get’s up and places his hands on the Females shoulders. She stiffens and you can see the madness and the rage building inside her. Frenchie warns Hughie
FRENCHIE
Petit Hughie.
Hughie ignores Frenchie and says to her:
HUGHIE
He may have convinced you that you’re human but we both know that you’re not. There are no happy endings for us hen, no going back.
If you go with him now, the only person that will suffer is the one that least deserves it.
Stay here, do some good and if you’re still alive when all of this is over , I promise that I will kill you.
The female slumps and we can see that she is crying
HUGHIE
As for you Frenchie, you will go wherever she goes. So no more talk of leaving.
Hughie leaves them standing there depressed and goes to face MM. He kills MM.
THREE YEARS LATER
We see Hughie standing at Annies grave. He places some flowers and leaves. He walks to the Superduper HQ and knocks on the door. They let him in, they are all happy to see “Hamish”. Hughie sits in they’re living room and listens to them talk. They say that they are going to get a bigger mansion now that they’re Vought only super team left and that there will be a movie about them in the theaters. Bobby says that Jack Black will play him.
Hughie listens to all of this and then get’s up and kills them all. Afterwards he goes to the Grassy Knoll.
HUGHIE
Another Guinnes with Fuck You in the head Pronsias.
PRONSIAS
Don’t you think you’ve had enough mate?
HUGHIE
I said another Guiness or I’ll carve Fuck You in your face!
PRONSIAS
Coming up mate.
Hughie raises his glass and says:
HUGHIE
Here’s to getting what you bloody want.
He downs the glass and get’s up to leave when he sees something on the TV above the bar.
A news reader says:
NEWSREADER
A freak accident today at this New York building site. 32 year old Jake Pankowski, a construction worker fell from ten stories high only to stop ten feet above the ground and hover in the air. The site is not far from an empty lot where the authority’s unearthed a large supply of V buried in the ground last year.
Our viewers will remember that V is an drug manufactured by Vought American which can give it’s users superhuman ability’s as came out during the super hero trials three years ago.
We go now to Stacy Chen to interview James Stillwell, representative from Vought.
We see James Stillwell hurriedly leaving his office to a car Stacy Chen tries to ask him questions.
STACY CHEN
Mr Stillwell? Mr Stillwell?
STILLWELL
No comment.
STACY CHEN
Mr Stillwell. Do you think today’s accident is caused by V?
STILLWELL
No comment.
STACY CHEN
Mr Stillwell. It is rumored that V has in fact seeped into the towns drinking water. Are we in danger Mr Stillwell?
STILLWELL
No comment.
Hughie walks out of the bar smiling and hums Ode to joy under his breath.
