...officially change the name of the book to "Billy Butcher Kills Everyone"?

Vas, (whoever Vas was protecting), the Legend, Janine's movie making buddies, AND Mallory (implied), potentially Annie (who else would be in the attachment from Vas?), MM appears on the cover (just like Terror), and then Frenchie? (maybe the Female too?)

Only Malchemical would have a chance to save the day, at this rate! ;)

potentially Annie (who else would be in the attachment from Vas?)

The attachment from Vas is probably just confirmation that Butcher was the one who killed him (being as up until that point Hughie didn't know who'd done it).

I disagree. I think the message from Vas is about some shady stuff Butcher was involved with, along with Vogelbaum.

Butcher was ready to be killed by HL, but that was only Plan B, a result of unplanned circumstances. He had a Plan A, and evidently it (whatever it was) had some unsavory elements. Now Butcher has to finish that and clean up things (his comment in the Rose Garden about "You'd hate what I'm going to do next").

I agree with Statsman re the attachment. My theory is that Butcher is trying to start some sort of V doomesday scenario with Vogelbaum tech.

Whatever is on the attachment is personally connected to Hughie.... His comment to MM "I dunno what he's (Butcher) done to you But I'm pretty fuckin' sure I've got it beat." It is a pic of something that was done (before Butcher came after Vas) that Vas suspected Butcher was involved with, but couldn't prove. He set up an automated response in case he died in the process of confirming his evidence.... Now, we know Butcher has been hunting down people (man who ran to Vas for help). He also has been, in his own way, acting to "protect" MM (trying to keep Janine out of his life) and Hughie...(why not take down the lying slut who wrapped his "little brother" around her finger?) Butcher's current style is like that of someone cleaning house and tying up loose ends before "the end". Butcher has never thought he was going to live happily ever after... He's had revenge for Becky... Now is he trying to make the world better by ridding it of ALL supes and making sure VA can never create more?

I do agree Butcher is probably using Vogelbaum's research to come up with a way of wiping out anyone with V in their system. This type of "supe genocide" is what I think Becky would hate.... (because so many innocents will die) It's also just the type of grand self-destructive action that would appeal to Butcher: Rid the world of the potential of some future supes succeeding where Homie failed, AND destroy himself in the process. He may even have figured a way to take out Vought American (or at least Stillwell) in the process.

Such a course of action would free Butcher to kill old friends (Vas, any of the Boys) if they get in his way because ultimately, if his plan succeeds, they'll be dead anyway... Killing Legend is just n attempt to keep the others out of his way long enough for Butcher to put his plan into action...

I was actually hoping Annie would come back and save Hughie after Hughie botched his attempt to confront Butcher... But, we'll see what happens..... "the second bad day" is probably in issue 68 because "the third bad day" is definitely in 69...

69 is to good of a number to be squandered on filler issues
