Convergence -- let's set a record

Hey DE fans, I've been watching the record number of users on at one time slowly climb. What do you say we coordinate our efforts and see how many of us we can get to log on all at once. Let's see how many people we can get on the forum on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 1 p.m. Eastern, noon Central, 11 Mountain, etc. (sorry Tommy, I don't know what time that is Down Under). I bet we can blow the current record away. If nothing else, it lets DE know how much we appreciate the forum by giving them a bunch of hits.

While we're talking about users, do these boards ever get purged for inactive users? Y'know, deleting all the accounts that haven't logged in for 2 years or something. It's a tad bit annoying seeing 300+ users registered and only a handful on at one time, or even posting for that matter :o DE is pretty damn awesome, I guess some people are too busy to post a kind word or two (or a thousand)? Although I don't know what could possibly keep them from posting :cool:

Quite some time (months) ago, I did prune a substantial number of inactive accounts from the site. However, these were accounts from spammers which had never been approved, or who had been banned. At no stage would I consider simply deleting people's accounts on the grounds they hadn't posted recently. :)

This blows my mind. The record is set and the appointed time hasn't arrived yet. I must be living in an alternate universe. :rolleyes:
