    Talking Don't read this post!!

Please delete this post: read the other!!

I don't know what direction this line of Golden Age Heroes will take... but
I hope once everyone has "returned"... and things start to settle down a bit...
that some of these heroes will decide to band together as a group to fight evil and injustice.

Not everyone. Not even a big group of them.!! Maybe just three or four of the heroes decide to start an "Alliance" to fight injustice again.

Then, ...maybe after a few adventures,... someone else joins the team... (the "Alliance for Justice" or whatever they decide to call themselves)...and the team slowly builds to seven or eight members.

And maybe, farther down the road,... another team establishes itself.

During this time, some of the heroes will have their own books... their own friends to team-up with, (by some of the Golden Age covers, some of these heroes may already be "old friends". Remember the covers of The Big 3!!?? Maybe The Flame, Samson, (and NO BLUE BEETLE) know each other and have had adventures together.
We, as fans, by looking at America's Best Comic covers know that Black Terror teamed up with Pyroman, Doc Savage, Fighting Yank, and Miss Masque(Masquerade)!! So, we can kindof expect that they, too, are old friends.
It may be fun to tell some Golden Age stories based on some of those covers...to build those friendships ---for the readers of today's comics. I think it would be a mistake to ignore those covers and those relationships between the heroes. We all know, "There's no friends like old friends"!! Friendships and loyalties run deep.).... and other heroes that they don't get along with. Isn't that the fun of having the heroes meet. Which ones will get along and be friends... and which ones won't.!?? I hope Black Terror does know Pyroman, Fighting Yank, and Masquerade but may not be familiar with some of the other heroes.(from other comic book lines.)
And I would hope that The Scarab(Blue Beetle??), Samson, and the Flame know each other better than they know the "America's Best" heroes. Maybe some of these guys have heard about ... but never personally met... some of the others. And I hope getting to know each other is a process... and not just a "slamming" together of ALL these heroes from different "companies."

Great EPIC STORY-TELLING needs to be carefully done. This is an important time of unraveling this story... in a thoughtful way.

This could be a really fun line of comicbooks. I hope Nick hires some very talented writers and artists... and editors ...who know where they're going... to chart the course of this Dynamite Line of Super-Heroes!!

With this line-up of characters,... input by Alex Ross...and Jim Krueger... the vision of Nick B.--- and this line could challenge larger companies for "rack" space and be successful!!

Thumbs up Team-ups looking better and better!!

For me,--- some REALLY interesting things are happening to the SP heroes as far as TEAM-UPS go.

They (DE) are not just "slamming" heroes together. They seem to be thinking things through and bringing heroes together that "make sense" to bring together.

One of the most interesting things, as far as I'm concerned, is the "bringing together" of the heroes from the 4 FAVORITES book:
Magno, Mr. Raven, Soldier Unknown, Lash Lightning, Lightning Girl, Vulcan, Captain Courageous, and The Sword.
Heroes that are "connected" to each other. As an old time fan of the 4 FAVORITES heroes... I was really glad to see in PROJECT SUPERPOWERS, CHAPTER TWO PRELUDE ... THE SUPER-MYSTERYMEN page --with some of my "favorite" Golden Age heroes around the table. To see them together again was just so great for me.
And across the page... 3 heroes from BIG SHOT COMICS...Skyman, Mr. Face, and Marvelo.
Geee.!! I have to give everybody involved credit for doing this kind of thing. Making meaningful ties to the heroes... and just not throwing heroes together for no good reason.
The INHERITORS look to be a fun bunch of boy sidekicks (with Kitten, of course)... teamed up together. Great!!
THE PATRIOTS... ok,... not as solid as far as "ties" go... but they are together as a theme... Patriots...so, --- ok!!
And, of course, The SCARLET SISTERS.!! Lady Satan, Masquerade, and The Woman in Red.!! (An interesting "themed group"!!)

I would say things are beginning to work out pretty nicely. I sure like the possibilities.!!

If the Inheritors are "standing against" the adult superheroes then does that mean they are going to be villains or just heroes fighting for a cause that they believe is right? I hope they are not cast as villains personaly...

Also, I would be in favor of a Classic JLA/Classic Avengers style team in the far future, but only after the heroes prove themselves to todays readers, placing them together in a superteam now wouldn't make sense because none of them have a "big league" status with the media as of now.

There could be some groups who are just teams to start with. The Fantastic Four, X-Men, and Legion of Super-Heroes were all teams from the beginning. They weren't a group a high profile characters thrown together like the Justice League or Avengers (and really, were Hulk, Iron Man, Thor and Ant-Man all really that high profile before Avengers #1?).

Very true, but this isn't 1963 or whenever that all went down, its 2008. If you are going to put together a "supergroup" then in order for them to get over as a major force and not just another run of the mill team you have to place your best guys into the group to get the reader to say "wow, these are the best DE has to offer and they are all on one team!".

Thats if we ever get an Avengers/JLA style team at all. If you take 3 or 4 random guys who are not in the forefront then you have a nice little team for the sake of having a nice little team. Hopefully we get 1 or 2 cool little teams and 1 mega team to read about.

    We've discussed this before. Check out;
    http://www.dynamiteentertainment.com...ead.php?t=1679

I think two or three teams that spread the big guns out would work better. Two big names and three or four lesser heroes gives the characters a chance to pick up a folowing and let the DE Universe grow. The Main Team (JLA/Avengers), an gritty team (Outsiders) and a the Inheritors (Titans) would work.

And we even know that Skyman and "Mr. Face" met on a cover of BIG SHOT#9... which gives them creds for meeting and knowing one another.

Soooo, we know that some of these guys do know one another... and many have teamed up together in some "Untold Cover Stories" from WW II.

THE SUPER-MYSTERYMEN, The Big Shots, AND ... THE BIG 3(or 4 with V-Man)...although NO TEAM seems to be forming around The Big 3 ["Big Blue"(Blue Beetle),The Flame, Samson, and V-Man.)

    ....

AND ....we know that some of the Nedor heroes knew each other and teamed up.
Black Terror knew just about every "mysteryman" (and Masquerade) at Nedor.
I think Black Terror knew and teamed up with "Doc" Strange, PyroMan, the Liberator, American Crusader, Fighting Yank, and American Eagle...and many of them knew and teamed up with the others, too.(On the "Untold WWII story" covers of America's Best Comics!!)

To me, it looks like Nick, Alex, and Jim have done a better job of picking out the groups than I was doing. I was the one that didn't want DE to "just throw the heroes together" without rhyme or reason.
They HAVEN'T!! They've kept many of the heroes together by Publishing House... and title. I love it... and respect their approach.

    THE SUPER-MYSTERYMEN...
    THE BIG SHOTS

SILVER STREAK, THE GHOST, and 'DEVIL... may yet team up to fight The Claw.
THE PATRIOTS...are a bit like the JLA/Avengers... in that they are not from just different books...but from different lines (but have a common theme-- Patriots.)
And, of course, the same with THE INHERITORS... teen sidekicks from different lines.
No movement to bring the BIG 3 together, as of yet. (Blue Beetle, Samson, The Flame, and V-Man.!!)

    So, we wanted groups...
    THE SUPER-MYSTERYMEN
    THE BIG SHOTS

    THE SCARLET SISTERS
    THE PATRIOTS
    THE INHERITORS
    ....
    we got 'em!!!
Thanks Nick. Thanks Alex. Thanks, Jim.... Thanks whoever. Nice job.!!
I couldn't have done better myself!!

Wink Return THE BIG 3... all four of them!!

No, I couldn't have done better myself.... but I might have put THE BIG 3 back together, again.

It would seem to me that The FLAME, the Mighty SAMSON,... and "Big Blue" (or whatever we finally get to call him besides Dan Garret ) would be a great team.
To me, they would seem to "work".
And I would probably throw in V-MAN... since he was once part of the group,--- replacing SAMSON on that last cover.

Although none of the four might be "high profile" enough right now to carry their own title, together their characters could be explored... and it would be fun to see them interact as a group.

    4) V-MAN

To me, these are ALL great looking teams. I really like the choices made. My hat is off to Nick, Alex, Jim, and whoever... who helped or decided on the look of these teams. Good going.!!
The covers, the character choices,... the character "sketches".... and the possibilities of this line of heroes are really great.!!
I only hope that the stories and the interior art are a focus for the direction of this line. The "real" possibilities are all there. All WE have to do is turn the page.

    Talking Dynamite Teams... GREAT!!

gEEEESH!! nO one's posting about Teams!!???

I really was excited to see JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA...(Brave and the Bold #28...and JLA #1) and THE AVENGERS #1 and other super-hero teams get to us.
Now, I look forward to seeing Dynamite's Super-hero Teams emerge:

Here's ANOTHER GROUP I would like to see formed:

    AMERICA'S BEST SQUAD!!

    1) THE BLACK TERROR
    2) "Doc" Thomas Hugo Strange
    3) Pyroman
    4) The Liberator
    5) Captain Future
    6) The American Eagle
    7) The American Crusader
    8) The Fighting Yank
    9) Miss Masque...Masquerade
    10) The Woman in Red

These are the heroes that appeared in (Nedor's) AMERICA'S BEST COMICS!! Right now, it looks like it's going to be very hard to put all these heroes (and heroines) together on one team.

Still, --- I hope one day--- America's Best can find a way to (re)form.

HOW they reform could be very fun and interesting...it could be a great story in itself.

    What do you guys think??
