You're very welcome.
Slip, Satch, and the boys were a favorite of mine.(too??!)
Sorry for any "slips" on my part.![]()
could a bowery boys comic work or would the actors respective estates object?

"Bill doesn't seem to be that big. He just plugs along with FemForce... and few other attempts at new stories."
And this is where lawsuits show the real measure of a man...Black plods along and rather than raise the bar...he waits for the coat tails of people who are successful.
Sad really...these characters interested me enough that I had thought to buy what AC was putting out...Mr. Black has lost a potential customer.

Understandable, Ranger. But maybe we should wait until we can find out more about this thing. I would like to hear what Bill Black is trying to do... and if he has any legal grounds for trying to do it. I mean, nothing is exactly clear here... I would (humbly) suggest we find out more information before we make any decisions about things.Originally Posted by Ranger01

magnus, I think the boys are "dead" to the public. I don't think a comic would be realistic. I'm afraid that the '40's are "history."Originally Posted by magnus robot fighter
Yeah, we don't even know for sure there is any lawsuit. All we have are rumors and speculation from various sources, some claiming to know or work for Bill Black. Basically it's an "I know a guy, who knows a guy, who talked to a guy, who thought he heard this other guy..." situation.Originally Posted by captainzero
I wouldnt say that. I've read maybe a total of 6 or seven Woman in Red stories. And I've become a HUGE fan of the Character. I typically read annihilation, Death of the New gods, Legion, etc. But something about those 1940's characters just brings back that Old school Heroism I loved.Originally Posted by captainzero
In my heavy collecting days I read all the X-Men related books, Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, Spawn, WildC.A.T.s, the Ultraverse titles, and many more I can't even remember. Now, I'm mainly drawn to the old-time characters. The Lone Ranger & Tonto, Zorro, the Superpowers heroes, the Golden and Silver age versions of Marvel and DC characters. The more heroic nature of characters from back then appeals to me more than the modern incarnations these days. And the comics of those days seem like they were a lot more fun. The creators didn't let a little thing like continuity control their stories. They told the stories they wanted to tell, and often did it in a single issue.Originally Posted by Tazirai
