Default Dreadstar Collection? I'm tired of asking/waiting

    Hey there,

Well, there have been a couple of questions asked about the Dreadstar: the Beginning collection DE advertised a few years ago. There hasn't been a response for quite a while.

At this point, I'm going to just assume that DE is no longer going to collect Jim Starlin's complete run. The lack of communication has been a bit frustrating, but I'm sure there's a good reason for it.

I've got all of the comics, so I can go back and read them. I'm just bummed that there isn't a nice collection to get people hooked on the series again. I'd get a kick out of sharing this wonderful series with friends.

So, I'll give it once last chance...are we going to see this any time soon?

    Thanks!

I've got all the Dreadstar issues and while I'm usually loathe to pick up trades of comics I already own, I would definitely pick up these trades if they ever were to come out.

    Alright, D.E.,

The ball is in your court. We've been asking for a while. Can you clue us in on what plans you have for the Dreadstar series?

    Thanks!

good news and bad news I guess.

I see there's a "new" Dreadstar hardcover coming out in January 2012...but it's just the metamorphosis odyssey stuff again with color added to the previously uncolored parts. so that kinda sucks having to buy that all over again (but I will anyway dammit!), but I guess this means they haven't completely abandoned Dreadstar yet...so there's still hope for some more reprints someday...

well that hardcover never got released.

since then they've quietly solicited a Dreadstar omnibus vol. 1...paperback of course...so I guess they were intending to start all over with just paperbacks. that was supposed to come out on July 17th, but no place is actually selling/ordering it. it doesn't seem to have actually been made yet, if ever.

seems like we're not going to be seeing any more of these anytime soon. possibly never.
