I'm so far past caring that it's not even funny, but it still manages to annoy me a little that Ennis swerves back and forth from "Supes are all incompetent, and easily defeatable by trained professionals" to "trained professionals are idiots, and only the combined expertise of a retard, a lunatic, and an autism sufferer is up to the task of bringing Butcher to justice." (I'll let you decide which is which.)

It's good that Vought Guy has finally officially porked Vought Girl, maybe they can spawn some kind of uber corporate child. He could be sketched clutching a minature briefcase as Vought Girl squeezes him briskly out of her tidy and efficient vagina.

Yeah but Butcher is Kryptonite to everyone else's level of competence so trained professionals couldn't hope to defeat him and Hughie constantly hallucinates that he personally is competent, so it's sort of consistent.
