But this being Garth Ennis, he couldn't even do that without contradicting himself. He says that the results of V are "totally unpredictable", but that's complete bullshit. Every single member of the Boys who was given V had exactly the same results.
Actually, the reason for this has now raised some questions with me- that reason being that Vogelbaum made the batch of specialized V for the Boys after Mallory spirited him away, and that took years of development. And the question I have is: didn't VA notice how uniformly powerful Frenchy, Mallory, and Butcher were back in the day without benefits of early V exposure like MM and the Female had? I would think they would at least try to get a blood sample or something.

Anyway, Stilwell didn't answer when Homelander said he was sure they were brewing up the new him, so I would love if it turned out there was something cooking that was made with any member of the Boys' DNA.

I'd never read X-Statix until you mentioned it a while back. I went out and bought the Omnibus, and I have to say, it's pretty damn awesome. It's nearly exactly what The Boys would be if anyone was allowed to be even remotely sympathetic. The X-Statix crew are every bit as self-obsessed as The Seven, they're just not batshit insane the way the Seven are portrayed as being. I loved the scene where The Anarchist just starts knocking over jewelry stores, because he knows people will line up to make excuses for him. And the bit where they all decide to murder their Pop-Star leader (who's name I've forgotten) because she's more popular than they are would have fit in to just about any arc of The Boys.

    That'll be $3.99 a pop, mate. You're welcome.

Is Hughie supposed to be a Peter Parker analogue? He mopes a lot, can't seem to close the deal with girls, and mopes a lot. He has these great powers and connections, but lives in a dump?

Eh, seems expensive for a puddle of tepid semen, but it's got blood in it so I guess that's OK.

Well since Hughie stepped in the blood stained semen then I believe it adds an extra dollar onto the price so now I think me and Dynamite even.

Perhaps Dynamite coud offer a 'blood-flecked semen' covermount as a special reader offer... maybe a sample in a baggie?

You could use it as a springboard for a new character: 'Blood-Flecked Semen Guy – the last hero'.

When the world burns, turn to the man with the bloody sperm.

Iffy Jizz is his gift: it is also his curse.

    etc etc

I wonder if anyone predicted we would have a discussion about bloody semen.
