Default A little bit about the art and story.

So, I've recently began seriously reading Vampirella from Dynamite Entertainment, before I would just pick an issue up here and there but I've gone back and completed all 16 issues and I'm really enjoying them quite a bit (currently reading issue 9). I'm absolutely loving the art early on, I flipped through issue #16 and I see that there is a different artist working on some of the newer issues and his stuff is pretty damn fantastic too and I'd say that Dynamite has done a great job with the art in this book.

I feel the same about the story. It's been damn good, and I'm one of the people who support the costume change (I know it regulates eventually) and I'm really loving the way the writer is handling this character, it's really entertaining. Now I know what people are going to say, "if you like this than you need to pick up ____ to read her earlier stories!"....yeah, sorry but I'm far from interested. I'm loving what DYNAMITE is doing with this character and the same goes for other characters such as Green Hornet, The Phantom, and others and I have ZERO interest in reading older works of these characters. I'm totally invested in what DE is doing with them and I'm going to be sticking with their books for the long haul, Vampirella is no exception.

    Thanks Dynamite!

    No, Mr. Trautmann. Thank YOU.

Seriously, this book has been badass and nobody does female characters like Dynamite. Seriously, let's take a look....

    Vampirella
    Red Sonja
    Dejah Thoris
    Jennifer Blood
The soon to be released Pantha
And a host of awesome females in the Project Superpowers and Genesis realms.

I'd like to know something Mr. Trautmann, do you read other Dynamite titles as well as your own? I've always wondered that about creators.

    Sure.

I read THE SHADOW, THE SPIDER, THE LONE RANGER. I am quite enjoying Mark Rahner's DEJAH THORIS & THE WHITE APES OF MARS. I'm confident I'll enjoy PANTHA, as well. QUEEN SONJA, obviously.

I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but I expect I'll like PROPHECY and awful lot.

I typically follow creators rather than titles, so when someone I know personally or who's work I'm familiar with does something, I usually check it out. Jen Van Meter's RED SONJA: BREAK THE SKIN one-shot, Marc Mason's RS: RAVEN, Brett's RS: BLUE, anything Arvid Nelson touches, etc.

    yeah

I kinda love everything DE right now as well although I am mainly focussing on the BARSOOM and VAMPIRELLA world

Only thing I am having trouble with is the varying way of using Dracula in the stories. BUt loveing it nevertheless.
