Red Sonja/Vampirella probably would have been a more accurate title, and people who buy those books will also want to buy this. Not sure if it's really the mega-event crossover thingy comparable to what the Big 2 do that it was hyped as.

Well, we also got Holmes and Watson, and I suspect we'll see more characters as we get further into it (I'm hoping all those cameos on the double page spread will turn out to be just teasers for what comes next).

I am still hoping for some warlord of mars characters

I am pretty sure they are going to get flash gordon into the mix, perhaps when things get down he will hop on over to mars

I can imagine the dialogue now

"on mongo, they tell stories of the immortal warriors of mars, perhaps they can give us a hand"

OR SOMETHING I DONT KNOW XD

mostly it seems to be the more fantasy oriented characters, but when things get desperate near the end . . . some cosmic forces might be what they need!

It all becomes even more confused when you consider that the Red Sonja who met Spider-Man is seemingly the same Red Sonja who fought alongside DC's Claw the Unconquered...

Well, one can see it that way, though it seems that Claw's world can't quite be Sonja's--while her team-ups with Spider-Man (both the 1970s and 2000s one) have the advantage of being connected to the Marvel Universe. Even though Marvel can't refer to Conan, Kull or Sonja right now, they and their world were pretty thoroughly connected to the MU for thirty years (!) till they lost the rights to them, and now they just make vague, occasional references to the Hyborian Age.

I have no idea, but since I ignore the whole "Queen Sonja" thing altogether, I don't worry too much about it. Presumably Earth-Wildstorm-Claw (which seems to end rather apocalyptically in his own series) is slightly different from Earth-Queen-Sonja, and I'm quite content with Earth-Red-Sonja-But-Not-With-The-Queen-Sonja-Array-Of-Retcons (Scathach not a goddess and so on).

So, Prophecy was pretty cool. not as good as I had hoped and there was ALOT of characters i could care less about but it was pretty darn cool.
