as if you couldn't tell by my username. i love Lord of the Jungle, its a great Tarzan comic. been a fan of the character since i was a kid. i feel like i was the only kid at recess who would pretend to be Tarzan. my friends would choose Ninja Turtles or GI Joe characters...i was kind of the oddball.

I'm still keeping up with this book monthly and am still highly enjoying it. It's odd, I love the pulp stuff and can talk about it every single day but yet I like this book too (which is pulp) and yet I can't find two words to put together to express how much I enjoy this title, but yet I do enjoy it quite a bit.

I love jungle books, it's my favorite genre after superheroes, so LOTJ is a must read for me every month, I can't wait to see DE's interpretation of Tarzan at the Earth's core.
I noticed there were no solicits for June, I hope DE is not planning on canceling this great series.

I noticed this too, and while I don't have any real information I do know that the book isn't lighting up the sales charts recently and it could possibly see it's end sooner than later. Even just 3-4 months ago this book's orders were very solid, these day's they've leveled off to what you would expect for a book of this sorts. It's still a great story, though.

I hope it doesn't get canceled. It's been a good read and has followed the ERB books closer than most. When I mentioned it to a friend and said that Jane was a blonde, she was suprised.
I'm almost wondering if Dynamite might have to high an expectaion on some of thier books. Some books that seem to have solid Reader support have been canceled (Thunderbolt, Flash Gordon, Phantom etc.)

i too would love to see Tarzan at the Earth's Core adapted by Dynamite. maybe they could also adapt some of the Pellucidar novels as well. if Dynamite needs to generate some interest then why not a Tarzan/Phantom team up. i love the Phantom too and it just makes sense that at least one incarnation of the Phantom would encounter Tarzan.

For the 1980s, yeah. I can't think of a decade where (except for the two releases right at the beginning of the decade, Bo Derek's Tarzan the Ape Man and Greystoke) Tarzan seemed more dormant in all media. Some people would say the 1990s, but at least the 1990s had comic books from Malibu and Dark Horse.
DE pull list: Bionic Man, Bionic Man vs. Bionic Woman, Bionic Woman, Dark Shadows, Dark Shadows Year One, Lone Ranger, Lord of the Jungle, Mark Waid's Green Hornet, Masks, Miss Fury, Peter Cannon Thunderbolt, Red Team, Sherlock Holmes, The Shadow, The Shadow Year One, The Shadow & Green Hornet: Dark Nights, The Spider, Uncanny, Vampirella Archives, Warlord of Mars, Warlord of Mars: Dejah Thoris.

I grew up in the 1990's and there was a fair amount of Tarzan in the media. A blonde hair Tarzan series, Joe Lara's Tarzan the epic adventures and Disneys Tarzan. The 2000's thats when things started to dwindle, both comics and multi-media.
