They were WAY behind schedule for issue #1 & apparently want to keep that trend going. Where the heck is Issue #2? #3? One More Day 1-shot?If you look at their website it says #2 was SUPPOSED to be available in July. July has come & gone. No books. There's only 1 more ship date for August & nothing is listed on Diamond's shipping list. Why am I not surprised? The one shot was supposed to be out in August along w/ #3 (both arrording to Dynamite's own website). Not only are they intentionally trying to bleed us (the collectors) dry by releasing WAY TOO MANY variant covers, but they also slap us in the face with their failure to deliver in a timely manner.
However, they have no problem hyping up issue #6 (when will that be out, 2008?) on their website along with another promised one shot. Please - STOP with the variant cover OVERKILL. From what little has come out, I like the series, but HATE the constant, continued & unexplained delays. Lets get with the program, stop screwing the fan-base w/ 10 different variants, and start releasing in a timely manner. If this continues, regardless of how successful Red Sonja is/becomes/remains, you'll only alienate your customers which will then force you to close your doors like so many other publishers in the past that had a hot book but managed to shoot themselves in the foot. Apparently Dynamite doesn't care about its customers/fanbase.
