    Default Black Bat #4

Anyone read Black Bat #4 yet? I got a copy first thing this morning (along with the other Dynamite pulp titles I needed) and I'm excited to dive right in after work, but just flipping through I've got to say that the art looks very good and the book looks action packed! God I love The Black Bat, it's truly one of the best comics on store shelves today and I can't wait to read this when I get home, or maybe I'll just sneak it on on my lunch break, hmmmmm?

Great issue with yet another stunning cliffhanger with The Brute coming to the help of Quinn after he got shot. HE GOT F'N SHOT! This issue was stellar, I loved the back story about his dad and the way it flipped to the current day, that scene with the eyeball was awesome too if not a little sick. Wonderful installment!
    Hoping Dynamite keeps pushing PULP!

I couldn't believe The Black Bat took a slug, I knew he wouldn't die or anything but I was shocked to see who it was who saved him and I can't wait to see what comes of it all in issue #5 next month. The story about his father and how he couldn't see him at his time of death was sad, I can relate due to a personal life struggle of mine so it was kind of interesting to see that side of the main character, what a tale that was told. I loved the standoff with the cop that resulted in her getting a backhand by the butt of the gun, that was a fun moment too.

I guess Brute will become this Black Bat's version of Butch O'Leary. For those who have read some of the original stories (and I only have recently) that was a good way to sneak him in.

That was hard to "watch", as it should be. And I love the deal with his dad. Many of these characters are motivated (not crazy though. Lol...) by the loss of someone close to them, but they still managed to make that one original.

    Fantastic book.

Yes, the re-introduction of The Brute was an unexpected plot twist. I am liking those book more with each subsequent issue. It is developing very nicely.

I re-read this issue the other day and gained a new appreciation for The Black Bat's acrobat style moves that saved him from being shot at the beginning when the cops had their guns aimed at him, that was such a fun sequence and really made the cliffhanger worth it in my book. What a fun issue all in all, and I still can't believe he got clipped toward the end and that The Brute was the one to come to his aide.

Man, Bucellato knows how to hook people for the next issue, doesn't he? Between what happened at the end of issue #3 and then issue #4 I can't seem to rest easy constantly wondering what's going to happen next, and now that the Brute is involved......gosh. Issue #5 isn't close enough!

Oh, crap. Please let that just be an oversight. Or technical glitch. I am upset enough over losing Dark Shadows but if Black Bat goes down too...! Especially since I always knew The Owl was just a limited series. Geez, by December I am going to have a lot of extra money in my pocket that DE apparently doesn't want!

I'm hoping that the worst case scenario is expected tardiness, so skip a month of solicitation in order to fall back into schedule.
