Beginnings: Did movie articles, previews, and behind-the-scene pieces for journals as diverse as FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND, MONSTER TIMES, MILLIMETER, TAKE ONE, and STERANKO’S MEDIASCENE (High Point: Doing the first article on STAR WARS for Steranko--and having George Lucas buy the issue out as a give-away in a Distributor’s meeting.).

Later: Stumbled into Comic Books, first doing vignettes for SAVAGE TALES, later creating and writing the award-winning THE NAM before moving on to; THE MERC; THE WAR; SAVAGE SWORD OF CONAN; MEDAL OF HONOR (note the pattern); ROGER RABBIT; DARKWING DUCK; and the upcoming: FLYING TIGERS.

Later Still: Started doing short-stories for a variety of collections including: CONFEDERACY OF THE DAMNED; GRAILS: VISITATIONS OF THE NIGHT; TALES OF THE WHITE WOLF: DARK DESTINY II; THE FLEET; DANTE’S DISCIPLES; and more.

Ongoing: Have spent more than forty years as an active participant in the world of entertainment conventions, MC’ing scores (if not hundreds) of Star Trek shows as well as a number of shows based on other genres. This led to a 10 year period as agent/coordinator for the STAR WARS: MEN BEHIND THE MASKS tour for Lucasfilms Ltd. Lots of travel with some very interesting people (the actors from the Star Wars trilogy).

More Recently: Back to comics, teaming with hot artist Frank Cho to do RED SONIA, JUNGLE GIRL, and the forthcoming: 50 GIRLS 50. Also writing STARGATE: ATLANTIS; STARGATE: DANIEL JACKSON; and, if the contracts go through, the upcoming STARGATE: SAMANTHA CARTER.

Right now: writing the ‘Seal Team Six No More’ series of novels for Dynamite/Amazon and, just now, self-publishing my own work with what I hope will be the first book in a new series: ‘Called to Duty’

This book is great I have read the whole series from one to nine and just purchased Book 10 which was just released this month and can't wait till more of the series are written printed and put on Amazon for purchase. They really keep you interested and hard to put one down in fact I got so involved in most of them and ended up reading half the book before putting it down..

Found book to be very good reading, what I disliked was the repeated misspelling, spaces were letters were to be, the proof reader missed a lot, You had to just keep reading over mistakes. My biggest complaint is there is no way you can look at collection and locate the book you want to read. Have a Kindle and cannot mark the books where if I want to read book 5 , have to go through entire collection to find it. Why didn't Editor number books on cover?

You definitely want to pick up the previous eight books before reading #9, as you won't understand a lot of references in this one.

I have purchased all six of Chuck Dixon's Seal Team Six series, and all nine of Doug Murray's Seal Team Six No More. I love the characters, the plots and the action. But continuity issues are destroying this series. I don't know who is editing, but they should be fired. If I'm catching all of these mistakes, someone who gets paid to do it shouldn't have their job. The fact that the author is writing it that way is bad enough but it's up to editors and proofreaders to catch these things before I am asked to spend my money on it. For instance, Aesop wasn't a double amputee until this book. He only had one prosthetic up until chapter 2 of this book. He stayed at Kimberly's house in book 2, but then met her for the first time at an airport in book 4. Topper is the only boy with a bunch of sisters, and Fixer has the sick brother, but they get switched in a conversation very early on. Topper's last name is Helmers, yet Topper and Helmers have a conversation, instead of fixer. Too many characters have the first name of Paul, even if they are referred to by a last name or a nickname instead. These are just off the top of my head. I'm sure there's more if I re-read everything and take notes. It's just disappointing and it's starting to make the story hard to follow. I'd love to give more than three stars but I just can't.

Starts almost straight after the last one, seems to be taken straight out of the headlines and into a fast paced story.

Few small repetitive bits (Explains how claymores work twice) but other than that its still easy to read.

The plot is interesting, the action is fast and furious however problems with character continuity are letting down the story. For example Aesop's backstory in previous books had him loseing a leg to a ied but in this one it's revised to having lost both? Other such problems exist and are detracting from a otherwise great series. Political events in the real world make this book more enjoyable, the unwillingness of Western leaders to allow reality to interfere with the narrative are used as a plot device. With poloticians paralysed by feel goods the actions of Flame and Dana's security firm are only too believable.
