I like the idea of new creative covers but I sure hope we still get to read MAO's stories along with BR... btw, those covers are awesome, it has been a few issues since I felt compelled to get them all...

Mike's currently billed as doing all the issues up to #29. I haven't heard anything to indicate that he's leaving the series, so I'm sure there's more to come.

By the way Contrabandolero, if I haven't said it already - Welcome to the Dynamite Forums! It's great to have another Sonja fan on board!

so for #30-35 there are 5 different awesome teams!! that sounds just great since these are all great writers ánd great artists!!

And Oeming I see is of Red Sonja...
          Why?

Not that brian reed is not more then capable to do right by strong female characters, but has Oeming had it with the character or he just wants a little break...

Reading the above (thanks Terry! ), it does look like Mike will be leaving/taking an extended break from the series a while from now. As to the whys/wherefores/etc. - not sure.

over at the Powers board (where Oeming has his own forum) he explained his leaving. He also said he does want to do more with Sonja eventually so we won't have seen the last of him. he sounded like nothing bad had happened just that he was swamped with his own projects.

Having seen what all the other creators did I am excited - this will allow us to explore some untreaded territory, I'm actually stoked about my own story as well - Sonja will cry, and it will be legit ; - )
