  • Lone Ranger creative team to leave with issue #18?

Over on the Lone Ranger Fan Club board there's talk of the LR creative team leaving the book with issue #18. Is there any truth to this?

If so, will a new creative team take over, or will the book end there?

    Thanks!

I believe around issue #6 Joe did a podcast that said Brett Matthews was contracted for 12 more issues. That would put Matthews on until #18. That's where this started at. Contracts can always be extended. Sometimes contracts are terminated. We don't know what the contracts for Cariello and Cassaday are. We don't even have #11 out yet, so I think it's still a little early to panic (or get excited, depending on your opinion of this team's work).

Yep, I wouldn't believe anything until you hear it from Joe or Tommy. And like MadMikeyD says, we're only up to issue 10 at the moment so I think it's premature to talk about issue 19 and beyond.

Although I'll probably stick around on the book even if the writer and artist move on

Well, so much for Lone Ranger # 11, Lone Ranger & Tonto (one shot).

Unacceptable comes to mind, as for this talk about issue # 18
it don't mean nothing to me, I'll be senile when we finally see that issue

Even Superpowers....why give cover art for issues 1,2 & 3, if issue # 0 isn't even shipping over the next two weeks...as a matter of fact we don't need to see cover art until a confirmed release date
