Call me jaded but when I se a monthly title released bi-monthly over two years and that's an average....a drop of 10,000 in sales does not surprise me...so all us fans better hope for a regular schedule and we should all pick up an extra copy as we move forward.

        Interesting

After the first issue sales were around 20. I'm trying to think back and how soon after Free Comic Book Day did 7 come out (was that the cause for the slight spike?) Then as the delay got longer sales really started to slip. i guess that's understandable. I guess the question is the one we've been talking about, what can get and keep the series on schedule.

The guys are working to get things on the right track when #12 is released:

Is Dynamite still going to have issues come out, I have reviewed the last two Previews and see no mention of the "mysterious masked rider of the plains". Please get back on track, this has been an outstanding comic book, not only in the writing but the terrific colors. Keep at it Dynamite.

We are getting back on track, and starting this summer, you'll see the Ranger on stands on a monthly basis for the next story arc. Issues 12 and 13 are in hand and 14 well underway... keep reading!

Actually #6 came out after FCBD last year. The spike for #7 was probably due to 2 factors - 1) a new story-arc, so people who were hearing good things but didn't want to jump into the middle of the origin arc could pick it up, and 2) two covers, so the completists had to pick up two copies. Still, 15,000 is a pretty good number for a 75 year-old cowboy...

Those numbers are only estimates, they're not official and they don't include any sales outside of North America.

Call me crazy, but I totally agree. In fact, I'm a trade waiter by nature, but I started buying singles again largely just to support Dynamite's great books (for me Lone Ranger and Project Superpowers). In fact, I read the singles and then send them to my buddy who is mostly into the Big Two. He's just decided to start picking up PS as a result.

I was so impressed with Black Terror #1, I'm going to pick up an extra copy this week to give to another friend.

Hey, if you really love something share it!

At the rate things are going, this might be a biannual report.

One wonders if the writers and/or artists are on an extended vacation or something.

I read some where taht DE is 'stockpiling issues' . Hopfully that just means they are waiting to have the next story arc before soliciting anything.

                            low figures

dynamite has a tough road on the title to regain its popularity.
                            1. they're going to have to fiure out how to fix the production block (for example, farm out alternative covers to other artists, interject some one-off story adventures to the main arc ((like the x-files used to do)), or expand printing facilities-wherever the troubles lie)
                            2. completely redo the marketing campaigns to announce the title is regular and exciting again
                            3. maintain steady communication with the readers and potential customers to enforce the perceptions
obviously,, the failure correction strategies weren't originally sufficient, and are going to have to be heavily specified now. I hope dynamite does this; i love the title and would be amazingly disappointed if they let it fail.
