  • Do I see an adult pattern here?

Item! Vampirella Strikes has a variant cover by Milo Manara. I don't think I have to explain to you peeps who Milo Manara is. Granted, there is no nudity on the cover but yikes, her tongue pose is very pornographic
Item! Playboy did a foto session with new model LeeAnna Vamp as Vampirella. (Cue to the fan crowd: "But where is the nudity?" No luck, pervs :P . If you need nude Vampi cosplay - somewhat of a contradiction in adjection - Google is your friend.)
Item! Quote Tom Sniegoski on Vampirella Strikes: "It's really great to be back. I've followed the yellow brick road back to Vampy, back to the half-naked Vampire chick."
And here I have to object. I have nothing against the random boobie - we even had a hardcore-ish scene in Warren #103(?) - but DON'T CALL HER CHICK!

She's always been a half-naked (although, to be fair, it's more like 90% naked) vampire chick. I mean, if she isn't, there's pretty much no reason for her to exist (sorry, ladies, you're never gonna win that argument).
DE pull list: Will Eisner's The Spirit: The Corpse Makers, ERB's The Greatest Adventure, Green Hornet '66 Meets The Spirit, PSP: Herokillers, KISS/Vampirella, Mighty Mouse

I just want equal time for the male heroes--more Warlord of Mars, Lord of the Jungle, and such in briefs and loincloths or less, please! Heck, the too-much-coverage kilt thing in the ads for the John Carter movie turned me right off...

I'm probably going to catch all kinds of holy hell for what I'm about to say.

First I should say that I read Vampirella and most of her spin off mini series too..that being said, modern Vampirella just _doesn't_ have the same level of sex appeal as warren era. Sometimes the modern art just comes across as trying too hard. I actually liked her a little better in normal clothes

Also, whether is old school or modern, the fact of the matter is, Pantha is waayyyy sexier then Vampirella..yeah, I said it!
