Dear Dynamite: Please hire these people

I saw this post on Jerry Ordway's blog the other day, with comments by quite a few classic comics creators, and I was thinking that it would be great for them to come on board at Dynamite. I'd thought they'd perhaps just retired--I had no idea they were just not getting much work for the "Big Two."

I'd be very interested in seeing what they could do at Dynamite.

I mean, look at this list of commenters on that post, and what they say; some of them are doing a little comics work, some are doing other things, but some are also very under-employed and they all have a lot of talent:

    Jerry Ordway
    Chuck Dixon
    Mark Verheiden
    Mike Manley
    Len Strazewski
    Graham Nolan
    Chris Weston
    Marv Wolfman
    Joe Rubinstein
    Kerry Gammill
    Jerry Bingham
    Michael T. Gilbert
    and others...

I also would love to see Tom DeFalco (he's doing some sporadic stuff for DC, but I miss Spider-Girl so much!), Steve Rude, John Ostrander, more...

How about a talent that has worked for Dynamite already - Nigel Raynor?

Seems like Mr. Monster would fit right in with the whole pulp/golden age character thing that Dynamite is turning into a regular genre.
Gilbert is doing some Mr. Monster over in Dark Horse Presents.

I had just written about Masquerade in another topic. I was picturing Swierczynski writing something similar for Dynamite. If Owl indeed will gateway into something of a PSP universal revival, I was imagining something along the lines of Sisters Scarlet.

I'm hopeful that they're all signed up for PSP projects. NickyB once said he wanted to relaunch it with recognizable talent, if I recall correctly.

Mr. Monster's anthology appearances are a little confusing. He's appeared in a lot of them, but some stories turn out to be reprints of earlier stories. I really haven't done the research to make a checklist, but I guess I ought to. With DHP, I'm usually depending on them reprinting the shorts in a one-shot standalone issue.

Seems like he would fit right in with that group.

Indeed. If they could only rescue the characters from the New 52, too...
