Less sure about this one since one cover actually displays #8. I don't follow the series so I wouldn't know but it's acool cover anyway, so who cares?

JOHN CARTER: WARLORD OF MARS #9
        Cover A Main: Ed Benes
        Cover B Variant: Bart Sears
        Cover C Variant: Emanuela Lupacchino
        Writer: Ron Marz
        Art: Ariel Medel
John Carter and Dejah Thoris try to unravel a mystery in lonely Martian village under attack by a mysterious killer. But even if they manage to gain the trust of the suspicious villagers, something far more deadly lurks in the shadows. It’s a murder mystery, Martian-style, from the minds of Ron Marz, the fan-favorite cosmic writer of Green Lantern, and Ian Edginton!

To get when they come out:

SWORDS OF SORROW #3 (OF 6) (Lupacchino cover--I think the Hack cover is really kind of hot, but the Lupacchino covers seem to really fit better with the story, and I think I like them better as art.)
JOHN CARTER: WARLORD OF MARS #9 (Sears cover)

To get when I can afford them down the road, most likely:

                  Hyborean/Mars/ERB stuff
SWORDS OF SORROW: DEJAH THORIS & IRENE ADLER
RED SONJA #1973 (I had to really wrestle with this one, but I will need to watch my pennies in July)
SWORDS OF SORROW: RED SONJA / JUNGLE GIRL

                  Pulp stuff
                  WILL EISNER'S THE SPIRIT #1
                  JUSTICE INC.: THE AVENGER #2
                  MASKS 2 #4 of 8

I've just had a major re-think of my whole comic buying habits. I think I'm just going to skip the floppies altogether, and wait for the trades. I'll read the reviews in the meantime, while I'm mulling over the idea of going digital. The only exceptions to this will be one-shots, and stuff like Archie Comics and Bongo Comics.. What with Marvel and DC reorganizing their whole lines this year, Dark Horse ending Captain Midnight (and it looks like, their whole Project Black Sky line), and less that's been appealing to me from Dynamite, it's a good time to do it. I always wind up spending too much on getting variant covers, anyway, and I've been double-dipping for a lot of the trades for a while now. So...
