SAVAGE RED SONJA: QUEEN OF THE FROZEN WASTES COLLECTED IN DELUXE HARDCOVER EDITION!

Hardcover Edition of Frank Cho’s Savage Red Sonja Mini-Series Available in May from Dynamite!

January 16, 2006, Runnemede, NJ – Dynamite Entertainment announced that the SAVAGE RED SONJA mini-series – THE QUEEN OF THE FROZEN WASTES from creators Frank Cho, Doug Murray and Homs has been collected in one deluxe hardcover edition!

The Savage Red Sonja: Queen of the Frozen Wastes hardcover will arrive in stores in May, and will feature the entire four-issue series, a complete cover gallery with Frank Cho's incredible covers and more! This hardcover collection will be available in a Regular Cover Edition, or in a special Previews Exclusive Cover Edition, both featuring art by Frank Cho.

The SAVAGE RED SONJA: QUEEN OF THE FROZEN WASTES mini-series is co-written by Frank Cho and veteran comic book writer Doug Murray, with art by “Dynamite” artistic sensation Homs. Queen of the Frozen Wastes follows Red Sonja into the chilling northern territories of the Hyborian Age where she encounters an evil destined to conquer the world. This dramatic action packed series featured covers by Frank Cho, Mark Texeira, Stjepan Sejic and series artist Homs!

Praise and reviews for the Savage Red Sonja mini-series remained solid throughout the four-issue series:

“The first issue of Queen of the Frozen Wastes is exciting from beginning to end - with so much action there's got to be at least 80,000 hit points worth of damage done within just the first few pages. Even when the action ends up stopping, it still finds a way to keep your blood pumping with various situations that keep you guessing what's going to happen, or what's going on. From the writing to the art, it's everything you could possibly want from Red Sonja. I honestly can't find anything at all to complain about. It's a nearly perfect starting issue!” -- Jonathan Mills, comicbookbin.com

“As such, it should come as no surprise that Queen of the Frozen Wastes is one of the truly superior Sonja tales to hit the comic stands in recent years. As much as I cheer the existence of an ongoing, it’s mini’s such as these, where creators get to focus and put all their energy into one single, absorbing tale, that I’d put the meat of my money on, every Wednesday of every month.” --Dave Baxter, brokenfrontier.com
