  • RED SONJA: Definitive Hard Cover Edition

I like the idea of the collection (#'s 0-6)coming out with a cover gallery in March.

It would appear the trend for multiple covers is going to be an ongoing one & it's a little sad not being able to get them all as there are a lot of great covers - be nice but not affordable... seeing as DE aren't making any appearances (not sure if they even know what's happening here) being the mod Tommy would you be able to find out from someone if there are plans afoot to produce regular collections like this in the future & also collect miniseries like the Sonja/Thulsa series.

    Thanks
    Robbie

      Certainly would be for us.

Just popped into the red sonja products area... have you even tried to count the number of cover variations of each issue???

Even a cover gallery for the miniseries would be good. I doubt I'll even worry about collecting any miniseries that come out as they'll see there's more money to be made in collecting those into trades as well.

Some people like TPB and some like Comics...

Personally I like the comic versions but there is certaintly a market for TPB.

I think they are busy enough trying to keep up with current deadlines and printing all those multiple covers.

Good idea, Robbie. I'm on it.

(*note: this may, like avatars, involve a certain amount of pushing that proverbial substance uphill. It may take a little while... ).

Here we go! Nice and quick, that time!

Red Sonja #10 is going to have 10 variant covers. I don't have a problem with variants, but those who do are going to have a fit!

I've been collecting comics for a long time and trust me when I say the Red Sonja comic(as good as it is) will not be hot forever. Get the one cover you enjoy and in a year or two go to any comic convention and get the other covers for a buck. Now this may not work for the high end covers, but they arent going to hold there value either. Mark my words!

Good point, but when you have fun collecting them its not always about how much their value is in a few years.

It would be nice, but its not like I expect them to sky rocket anytime soon.

Oh, by all means I didnt mean to insinuate that you shouldnt get all the covers if thats what you want to do. It just doesnt make sense to me. You have one cover, you have the whole story, why not spend 3$ on a comic you havent tried yet? Here's another idea, print out each cover on your computer, then bag, and board it! O.K. thats just a joke, but you get the idea. The whole multiple covers leaves a bad taste in my mouth. All it does is flood the market and gouges the customer. It has a, make as much money as fast as we can mentality, not the mentality of say, we have a superior product, we'll be around for the long haul.

                          Wow ok, point taken dude..

There is no doubt the delays may be related to printing all those covers, which also leaves a bad taste in my mouth
