    Fingers, toes and eyes!!

    I really enjoyed the Now comics series, I hope Dynamite will continue the legacy aspect specially since they might actually be able to mention the Lone Ranger in the book.

      As long as DE is able to "re-imagine" the Green Hornet as they have the Lone Ranger and Zorro, it will be great. And they'll be able to use the Lone Ranger/Green Hornet connection. But if the license-holders make them put out a comic based on the Seth Rogen film (that I suspect will not be good), it could be very bad. I hope they do get it, and get the freedom to make it as good as Lone Ranger and Zorro have been.

        Agreed, I to have a very bad feeling about the film. I don't want DE to copy the Now Comics series just use the legacy aspect.

        Now Comics tied the Radio show the TV show and their version by making them related (the next was the nephew of the previous Hornet). They even explained the change in Kato from Japanese to Philipino (to protect him from the interment camps).

        I'd like to see DE do the same sort of thing, use what has gone before, expand on the past, but not be tied to it.

          If I had my druthers, I'd take it back to the 1930s-40s Britt Reid - the son of Dan Jr. Start back with the original. They could use the Legacy aspect of the NOW comics later, but I'd start with the first, establish the connection to the Ranger, and then work forward. There's no reason they'd have to do a 'modern-day' Hornet at all, as far as I'm concerned. I'd be happier with a period book.

            A Period Book?

            I don't know why that didn't occur to me. I guess I'm just in Project:Superpowers mode. Bringing GA heroes to modern times.
            A period book would be interesting, depending on the situation they might even be able to occasionally adapt some of the radio shows. While most of them were fairly simple by todays standards, there were a few interesting ones and a few that were a little different from the standard Green Hornet fair. Obviously not strictly adaptations, but occasional stories or ones inspired by the radio show.
            I have most if not all of the shows that are available (at least 91), I'm going to have to pull them out and start listening to them again. That's almost forty six hours

                  Here We Go Again

                  Looks like Moonstone is planning a Green Hornet Prose book. Much like the Zorro one the did a while back. If it and the Dynamite GH series both happen that would be the second time they've done a prose book for a Dynamite character.

                    I wouldn’t like the idea of different generations of Green Hornet like an other publisher did a while back; I would prefer they picked an era and have a single first and last Green Hornet and Kato, and I prefer the old 1940’s comic book classic mask design

                    GH Classic Wallpaper -> http://sites.google.com/site/heroesc...een_Hornet.jpg

                    Sometimes a series starts well, and degenerate into sensless knock-offs very quickly

                    I would also love a hardcover archives collection of classic Green Hornet Comics

                    1940 to 1947 -> http://www.comics.org/covers.lasso?SeriesID=194 - http://www.comics.org/covers.lasso?SeriesID=293

                    PS: Couldn't think of a better place than Dynamite for a serious Green Hornet new comic book series

                      The Now Comics series featured the 'modern' Hornet with the original Hornet giving moral support and occasional suggestions. It worked since the original Hornet's father is the nephew of the Lone Ranger who we've seen in the DE LR series. If DE gets the Hornet they could actually team up or mention the Ranger in the Hornet series. It was an interesting series because we got to see a new Hornet grow into the roll. They also did a Mini featuring the Original and one featuring a future Hornet who had gone bad.

                      That said, I to would like to see the 40's Hornet featured in the series, but I'm not sure how many people would buy it. With the way they handled the Lone Ranger, Zorro and Project:Superpowers I agree that they should be the first choice to brint the Hornet back to the prominence he deserves.

                        PS: I wouldn't be interested in a new comic book series about different generations of Green Hornet, not even a futuristic Green Hornet year 2099 or whenever, just the original unique concept, like a GREEN HORNET YEAR ONE, a bit like that amazing Dynamite Zorro series just released in hardcover edition worth every penny. At some point future generations should learn to assume their own original secret identities.
