Marketing Manager


Responsible for the day to day operations of all areas relating to the ongoing marketing of the multiple products. This includes the comprehension and application of marketing strategy to the development, implementation and execution of monthly product releases, events, promotions, collateral, videos, advertising, website and public relations.

Driving core business functions in channel and pricing strategy, go-to market planning, demand generation, and merchandising. You will closely manage channel inventory and forecasting, identify growth opportunities, create and execute sales and marketing plans, and own the overall P&L.

The ideal Marketing Manager has 3+ years of marketing experience, ideally with experience in publishing.


The ideal Marketing Coordinator has 2+ years of social media marketing experience, ideally with additional experience writing press releases. Must have a deep knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, etc.


  1. Strategic marketing activities & campaigns across the full range of products and lifecycle of all Dynamite products.
  2. Product marketing – market research, value proposition, product development, customer feedback, and product champion.
  3. All new products and daily changes to active products.
  4. Coordination of information flow between various departments, internal & external to Marketing.
  5. Creation of marketing materials.
  6. Reputation management and monitoring.
  7. Copywriting of product descriptions, meta data, naming conventions (UPCs/ISBNs/BISACs).
  8. Co-ordination with Production, Editorial, as well as the Sales, PR and Digital departments.
  9. Management of third party relationships.


  1. Work closely with internal Sales & Marketing team members whose primary responsibilities include management of accounts, account negotiations, retail marketing planning and execution, setting account targets, market reporting, and defining potential growth initiatives.
  2. Optimize product merchandising/presentation for sales growth.
  3. Prioritize and coordinate timely marketing emails, social media strategy, advertising & campaigns, Website marketing campaigns, print campaigns, inserts, promotional collateral (handouts, flyers, galley’s, BLAD’s, etc.) events and future promotions
  4. Work with the Social Media Coordinator to develop social strategy to manage the brand perception, customer engagement, create online chatter, and reach new customers
  5. Work with Website Management to optimize website response and sales.
  6. Assist with the development of sales presentations, proposals and the annual marketing plan.
  7. Develop overall marketing strategy and direction with senior leaders.
  8. Work with Sales and retail partners to insure social media plans are thoroughly implemented and on time.
  9. Work with Editorial and Production to enhance performance and profitability of book publishing business.
  10. Work closely with internal Sales, Marketing and Editorial teams to ensure that information & materials for monthly sales cycles are presented in full and on time to distributors & retail partners.
  11. Work with distributors and key accounts to manage COOP spending, special offers, and retail promotions.
  12. Work with Finance, Editorial, and Production to determine initial print runs, reprint quantities, and inventory controls.
  13. Work with Licensing and Editorial departments to provide seasonal Sales & Marketing plans and regular results reporting to external licensors.
  14. Represent the company to business partners and the public.
  15. Deliver updates on marketing to senior leaders.
