ThunderCats, here them Roar!
Cartoon Network has set an official premiere date for its new animated ThunderCats series, ThunderCats Roar, which will debut later this month.
The show was initially expected for a 2019 unveiling, but “Exodus Part 1 & 2” will now air on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 10:30 a.m. ET/PT. It tells of how Lion-O (voiced by Max Mittelman), the newly appointed and blindly heroic leader of the ThunderCats, leads his troupe off the crumbling planet of Thundera to land on Third Earth, where the evil Mumm-Ra resides. Episodes “The Legend of Boggy Ben” and “Prank Call” will follow on Saturday, Feb. 29.
ThunderCats originally aired between 1985 and 1989 with a cast of characters that included Cheetara, Panthro, Tygra, Snarf, and WilyKit and WilyKat. ThunderCats Roar seeks to stay close to that concept, while embracing the comedy and action of this animated sci-fi world. (via Entertainment Weekly)

Helmed by celebrated former editor, Illuminous founder, and writer, Joseph P. Illidge (Batman, Milestone Universe: The Shadow Cabinet) alongside Tim Seeley (Revival, Hack/Slash) and Christian Rosado (Vampirella, Skull and Bones: Savage Storm), Bloodletter will take readers deep into the unspoken lore of Spawn’s world. This five-issue miniseries will launch in June from Image/Todd McFarlane Productions. Illidge—known for his industry-defining work across the comics platform—brings a commanding vision to the title’s lead, crafting a protagonist as powerful as she is haunted. Working in lockstep with Seeley, Rosado, colorist DC Alonso (Avengers), and letterers AndWorld Design, the creative team paints a portrait of a woman waging war against human and infernal forces.
Tasha Thornwall is The Bloodletter, mystical mercenary of the world's secret underground. A former CIA operative forced to live in the shadows after being outed by Al Simmons 10 years ago, when she learns Al Simmons is alive as Spawn she sets out for revenge. The mission to hunt down and kill Spawn begins in this debut miniseries. Spawn fans won’t want to miss uncovering this secret history stitched together with horror, espionage, and sorcery.
“Bloodletter is about our hero, Tasha Thornwall, and how she uses the power of magic and secrets to fight through a world that constantly throws danger from Heaven and Hell at her!” said Illidge. “Working with my fellow brothers-in-arms—Tim and Christian—and using our magical combination of skills to show the fans the secret history of the Spawn Universe is just as wonderful and scary as it sounds. We can't wait to pull you into Tasha's world and never let go!”
Seeley added: “At its core, this story is all about synthesis. For our lead, Tasha, it’s that combination of espionage and street magic that makes her an unkillable survivor in a world where guys like Spawn, Overtkill, and Violator walk. And the comic itself is a synthesis too, of Joe, Christian, and me, something totally new none of us would have concocted on our own.”
“It's blood, magic, it's evil questioning itself, it's also love and redemption,” said Rosado. “Tasha took on a life of her own, and what we do as a team is narrate it, chapter after chapter. In this transgressive and dark world, there's a new character who is a privilege to draw. Joe, Tim, and I have that mission—to make her struggle known and what she has to tell us.”
While Bloodletter carves its own path, the series remains grounded in the legacy of Spawn—a character and universe created by Todd McFarlane that redefined creator-owned comics. With Tasha now stepping into the shadows left behind, the series builds a bridge between the foundational myths and the next era of supernatural storytelling.
Perfect for fans of Something is Killing the Children, Witchblade, Grim, Storm, Catwoman, and Psylocke, Bloodletter blends genre with fury and introduces a deadly new antihero to the ranks.

Thor’s impending demise in the pages of Al Ewing’s IMMORTAL THOR has been teased for months. Now, learn about his coming rebirth! Following IMMORTAL THOR #25 in July, Ewing will launch a new run of THOR alongside artist Pasqual Ferry, who makes a thunderous return to character following his acclaimed work during Matt Fraction’s Thor run. A major shift in Ewing’s overall Thor narrative, THOR #1 sets up a captivating new status quo for the God of Thunder unlike any in his 60+ year history. THE LEGEND BEGINS! The Norse Myths tell of Gods who walked the Earth, doing great deeds for the mortals who believed in them. But Asgard isn’t real, and never was. The Gods never soared in our skies, never stood with our heroes, never fought for kindness or justice. It was all just a story. Nobody’s coming to help us. But somewhere in the city... a man is waking up. A man with a hammer. "Since the very first issue of IMMORTAL THOR, Thor's been facing the end of his tale... but that was only the end of Act One,” Ewing explained. “As the next chapter begins, Thor must face threats he's never faced, from a place he's never been... until now. Is he alive? Is he dead? Is he immortal... or much, much more? You'll have to join us to find out." Get a sneak peek at Alex Ross’ THOR #1 cover and keep your eyes peeled for it to be fully revealed after IMMORTAL THOR #25 hits stands!

A new Superman toy has revealed the eighth major villain set to appear in James Gunn's upcoming DC Studios epic. While big names like Lex Luthor and The Engineer will put their stamp on the 2025 comic book film, Gunn has made it clear that there will be room for even more characters from the Man of Steel's rogues' gallery in his first DCU movie. A new toy listing revealed that the mysterious Yeti would be the eighth villain in Superman. While most will know the white-furred beast from real-world mythology, the Yeti has a history in DC Comics, having been seen fighting heroes like Black Adam in various comic book stories over the years. The Yeti reveal came via a Superman tie-in toy set spotted by Superman Homepage, featuring a figurine of the hulking metahuman. The set, called the "Fortress of Solitude Battle Set," includes posable plastic figurines of David Corenswet's Man of Steel, the adorable Krypto the Super-Dog, and the Yeti. The Yeti is the eighth villain revealed for Superman, joining the likes of Lex Luthor, Hammer of Boravia, Ultraman, The Engineer, White Alien, Kaiju and, of course, LexCorp. (via The Direct) Superman will soar into theaters on July 11.

When people think of horror filmmaker Ti West, many probably think about his recent trilogy of A24 films with Mia Goth. X, Pearl, and Maxxxine made for a fantastic big screen horror saga, but those movies came after a substantial gap in West’s feature film resume. Earlier in his career, West was known for his horror innovations with ultra low budgets, delivering some terrifying work in the world of found footage. West’s most well-known found footage horror film is probably 2011’s The Innkeepers, but his follow-up effort two years later is every bit as chilling. In 2013, West released a little film called The Sacrament, and the movie just made its way to Amazon’s Prime Video lineup. The film follows a camera crew as they accompany a man on a search for his missing sister. Once they get to the religious “paradise” where she has been staying, things start to spiral out of their control. (via ComicBook.com)

The new Superman trailer gave us better looks at the character of Metamorpho, played by Anthony Carrigan. We also get to see how this reluctant hero is being used against Superman ( David Corenswet) by Lex Luthor ( Nicholas Hoult). In one scene we see Superman in a cell being beaten with Metamorpho sitting behind him. If you look closely, his hand is a glowing shade of green, meaning he likely used his ability to transform his body into other elements to make his hand into Kryptonite to weaken Superman. And while there is no evidence in the comics that he’s ever done it, it is conceivable that Metamorpho could use his molecular reconstruction abilities and elasticity to take the size and form of a kaiju-like creature. Either way he’s definitely being manipulated by Lex. Carrigan was asked recently by the DC Studio Showcase podcast about what comics were his inspiration for the characters. The Barry actor said, "Basically, whatever I could get my hands on. It was really important to me — and I think it was also one of the reasons James hired me — is because this character in particular has this real kind of pathos to him. And unlike a lot of superheroes, he's not crazy about the fact that he's a superhero. He feels cursed by what he has. And so I really kind of bring something to that, and it really lit a fire." So while other heroes will appear in the film, it looks like Metamorpho has the potential to go from unwilling tool to the hero from the comics.
