Dynamite Entertainment is proud to announce the full creative team for Aliens / Vampirella, the upcoming horror crossover between their classic comic book heroine an the Xenomorph monsters from Dark Horse Comics' long-running comic book, based on the renowned film series. Corinna Bechko (Star Wars: Legacy) will steer the series with her scripts, while artist Javier García-Miranda will provide the atmophere and action. Also, artist Gabriel Hardman will provide the distinctive covers worthy of the tradition of horror excellence that both long-standing terror icons represent.

As established in Aliens / Vampirella #1, humans have begun to colonize Mars, but something ancient and sinister got there first. Vampirella, a supernatural exterminator, is faced with a mystery only she can solve... and the bloody realization that some monsters should never be awakened.

Bechko has been writing comics since her horror graphic novel Heathentown was published by Image/Shadowline in 2009. Since then, she has worked for numerous comics publishers including Marvel, DC, Boom, Dark Horse, and Dynamite on titles such as Planet of the Apes,Star Wars: Legacy, Savage Hulk, and Invisible Republic. Her background is in zoology. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and a small menagerie.

Javier García-Miranda is a relative newcomer to the comic book industry, but has been making waves with his work on several Dynamite horror titles. He has illustrated Aliens / Vampirella's raven-haired heroine before as part of the anniversary Vampirella #100 celebration. In addition, García-Miranda chronicled the fall and resurrection of Chaos! Comics' resident bat-winged villainess in the Purgatori miniseries, and worked on Dynamite's premier bad boy in Evil Ernie (Vol. 2) #6.

"I couldn't be happier to be teamed with Javier," says writer Corinna Bechko. "His work has an energy that is necessary for this story, and he's great at creating a really creepy feel for the scenes that require it. Plus, both his Vampirella and his Xenomorphs are gorgeous."

Gabriel Hardman, cover artist for the entire Aliens / Vampirella series, is a prolific creator in the comic book industry, plus a frequent contributor to the film industry. A comic book writer and artist, he has worked on such titles as Kinski, Invisible Republic, Star Wars: Legacy,Planet of the Apes, and Savage Hulk. He also served as storyboard artist for the filmsInception, Interstellar, Tropic Thunder, and X2.

Aliens / Vampirella #1 will be solicited in Diamond Comic Distributors' July Previews catalog, the premiere source of merchandise for the comic book specialty market, corresponding to items shipping in September 2015. Comic book fans are encouraged to reserve copies of Aliens / Vampirella with their local comic book retailers. Aliens / Vampirella will also be available for individual customer purchase through digital platforms courtesy of Comixology, Dynamite Digital, iVerse, and Dark Horse Digital.

Dynamite; $3.99 According to Thomas Wolfe, “You can’t go home again.” But Mr. Wolfe didn’t mention anything about going home to your past. In the first issue of Twilight Zone a successful writer flies back to his hometown for a book signing. What he finds is more than he anticipated when he finds himself face to face with his younger self. Upon encountering his younger self, he must decide if he should help the troubled, abused boy or leave him to suffer knowing what the future holds after that suffering is endured. The story written by Mark Rahner is very interesting both for its philosophical and ethical quandary. The question posed to this man is one anybody would struggle to answer. On top of that is the eerie, unsettling feeling leading up to these moments. The weight of the title is enough to warn readers that this plane ride will not be the usual trip. Edu Menna’s art aides the story by drawing characters with haggard visages, setting the tone for a story both complicated and thought provoking. This first issue comes with covers by Guiu Vilanova, Francesco Francavilla, Jay Shaw, and Jonathan Lau.

Dynamite Entertainment is proud to announce that industry sensation Frank Cho will return to Jungle Girl, the comic book series that showcases Jana, a primal heroine in a prehistoric Lost World. Co-written by Doug Murray (The 'Nam) and illustrated by Jack Jadson (The Savage Hawkman), Jungle Girl: Season Three will debut with a new #1 issue in April 2015, featuring an explosive cover by Frank Cho.Jungle Girl: Season Three picks up where the previous series left off, following Jana's escape from an underwater city and a gigantic, otherworldly creature. However, her father soon reveals that those actions have doomed the Lost World in which they all live, as a wormhole appears in the sky and flaming debris begins to fall through. As the jungle burns, Jana and her friends must contend with stampeding behemoths and displaced, murderous natives. Furthermore, the rift presents a new, fearsome threat, for the fire from an alien dimension was not the only thing to come through."I'm delighted to be back with my co-creator, Doug Murray, and finish out the final story arc of Jungle Girl," says Frank Cho, one of today's most recognizable names in comic book illustration. Warner Brothers, DC Comics Publishing celebrates a landmark anniversary, Action Comics issue #1000 on April 2018, and also their titular character, Superman's 80th anniversary. Superman was created by writer, Jerry Siegel and artist, Joe Shuster, high school students living in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1933. Superman debuted in DC Comics' Action Comics #1, cover-dated June 1938. Since that time, with multiple successful appearances in radio serials, newspaper strips, television programs, films, and a plethora of games, Superman has become an international icon and is the established superhero archetype in the American comic book industry. Superman has fascinated scholars, cultural theorists, commentators, and critics alike exploring the character's role and impact in the United States and worldwide.

Action Comics number #1000 is poised to make history as an anniversary issue heralding the longest running comic book in publishing annals anywhere in the world. Concurrently, it will mark the 80th Anniversary of Superman, the first superhero ever created and published for the first time in Action Comics issue #1. This historic 1,000th issue will have a special Dynamic Forces release signed by Dan Jurgens, one of the writer/artists most closely associated with Superman in his entire 80-year history.

To date, the best selling Superman comic book of all time was the "Death of Superman" storyline that made international headlines and met with enormous success, and whose work also included Dan Jurgens - Superman's longest running writer/artist. All of the DC Comics Superman titles gained international exposure, reaching the top of the comics sales charts and selling out overnight. The event was widely covered by national and international news media.

Legendary 25-year Superman creator, writer and artist Dan Jurgens is leading the creative team for this giant sized anniversary issue of Action Comics #1000. There have been many talented writers and artists that have contributed to the Superman mythos over the years, but few have been as historically impactful as Dan Jurgens, who has served as both writer and artist at various points in Superman publishing history from 1989 to the present. Dan Jurgens created the villain Doomsday, one of Superman's most iconic nemesis and the Death of Superman Storyline culminated in his series run. The legendary writer and artist has made many important contributions to the world of comic books throughout his career, but it's his work on the seminal "Death of Superman" storyline that has proven to be the most influential and widely read. As one of the writers and artists behind that legacy-defining storyline and the author and artist of its final issue, Jurgens' work on the character can be felt in nearly every Superman story we've seen since. His work has earned him several awards over the years, including the 1994 National Cartoonists Society Award for Best Comic Book.

Marvel's AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR - features a special selection of commemorative comic book issues from historic Marvel and Avengers comics that have led to concepts and ideas used in the Avengers: Infinity War movie. The Avengers and their allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe. Quickly ramping up to become the biggest event in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and in turn become a historically monumental Box-Office smash, the movie brings together many of the heroes and villains introduced across 18 movies to do battle with ;the mad villain, Thanos. Television spots for Avengers: Infinity War preview footage from the film and focus on fan-favorite characters: Spider-Man, Black Panther, Thor, Falcon, Captain America and Iron Man. The film hits theaters April 27, and Marvel is keeping fans' excitement high with trailers and news clips from the film. TSC will debut the special comic book Variant Covers on April 16.
Avengers: Infinity War is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo (Captain America: Civil War) from a script by Captain America franchise screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. About Lights:

Always pushing boundaries, alt-pop phenomenon Lights has never shied away from a challenge. Through her first three records, Lights built an incredibly passionate fan base, selling out tours around the world, earning 150M in streams, over 250K in album sales, three JUNO Awards including a 2018 win for Pop Album of the Year, and three Gold album certifications; not to mention the 2M + rabid fans who follow her every move online. Yet through this success, she felt like she had more important things to say through her music but just didn't know how to get them out. Thus was born Skin&Earth, the Canadian singer's fourth record and companion comic book series of the same name, entirely written and illustrated by Lights herself. As Billboard explains, "Concept albums are nothing new, but it's the lengths to which Lights takes her fourth album Skin&Earth that sets it apart." Her anthemic single "Giants" brings the immersive comic book world to life, as Lights - and her alter-ego leading lady - struggles to find hope in a hopeless world. Lights has played numerous festivals including Coachella, Reading & Leeds, plus toured with OneRepublic, Tegan & Sara, Paramore, Kaskade, PVRIS and many others.

MISTRESS OF THE DARK -  THE ICONIC ELVIRA:
RETURNS TO COMICS THIS JULY

DYNAMITE BRINGS THE BELOVED HORROR HOSTESS BACK TO PRINT AFTER MORE THAN A DECADE AWAY.

April 5th, 2018, Mt. Laurel, NJ: Dynamite Entertainment is proud to announce that they've partnered with one of the most well-known pop culture icons of all time, Elvira: Mistress of the Dark to produce a new line of comic books and graphic novels. New tales of the gothic beauty with the razor-sharp wit from writer David Avallone (Bettie Page, Twilight Zone) and artist Dave Acosta (Doc Savage) will be making their way to comic shops this July.
The Mistress of the Dark has become unstuck in time and crashes Mary Shelley's monster weekend, beginning an epic journey through horror history, stalked by the most terrifying nightmare to ever walk the Earth. (No spoilers!) Writer David Avallone (Bettie Page, Doc Savage, Twilight Zone) and Dave Acosta (Doc Savage) bring you the thrills, chills and double-entendres in the first chapter of this four-issue miniseries!

"I'm thrilled to partner with Dynamite!  I've been working hand in hand with them over the past year to put together the best comic series possible.  Elvira's new dark adventures continue starting this July!"  States The Mistress of the Dark Herself - Elvira!

Played by actress-writer Cassandra Peterson, Elvira, Mistress of the Dark was the first horror host ever to be syndicated nationally and has emerged as one of the most original and outrageous characters in popular culture today.  Her reign as ‘Queen of Halloween' has now spanned thirty-five years and includes two nationally syndicated television series, two feature films (Elvira, Mistress of the Dark and Elvira's Haunted Hills), an IMAX movie and two motion control rides. She has appeared in National ad campaigns for Pepsi and Coors, recorded five music CDs, written four books and licensed over Four Hundred products including pinball machines, action figures, guitars, a beer, wine, soda pop, perfume, slot machines and the best-selling female costume of all time.

"I really want to capture the essence of what Cassandra Peterson created and bring it faithfully to the comics page," explains writer David Avallone. "The story is a horror tale (or a quartet of connected horror tales) with a nightmarish villain and danger and action… but at its center is this wise-cracking, plucky, sexy, unflappable heroine. Elvira is incredibly charming and funny and delightful and she maintains that in the face of whatever happens."

Avallone has created quite a following with his celebrated comic work on pulp heroes like The Shadow and Doc Savage, spinning tales of terror with the Twilight Zone and crafting new adventures for another classic beauty, Bettie Page. This project reteams Avallone with his frequent collaborator Acosta. Together the two talented creators have worked on multiple project together including Doc Savage: Ring of Fire, Twilight Zone / The Shadow and a story in the Love is Love anthology that raised money for the Pulse Nightclub shooting victims.

"After his work on our Bettie Page series, David has become my go-to guy in finding the narrative with properties that require an extra level in their development. And just like Bettie, David has exceeded my expectations and created something fun and dark and all meeting with Elvira's high expectations!" says Editor Joseph Rybandt "Being able to reunite David with Dave Acosta makes this an all-star creative team for one of the most iconic horror properties in existence!"

"Working with Elvira has been really exciting, and we wanted to ensure that we would execute as perfectly as possible, we needed a writer who could do just that in David Avollone." States Dynamite CEO/Publisher Nick Barrucci.  "David's writing is crisp and he knows how to capture the voice of the characters he works with incredibly well.  So much so, that the last series he wrote, Betty Page, we were approached by Playboy to create a story for them.  I can't wait to show the fans where David takes Elvira and hew new adventures!"

DYNAMITE ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF NEW TERRY DODSON BETTIE PAGE
KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN

Featuring Three Stunning Statue Options, Inspired by Fan-Favorite Artist Terry Dodson

March 9th, 2018, Mt. Laurel, NJ: Dynamite Entertainment is pleased to announce the launch of an exciting new Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign, which celebrates the iconic beauty that is Bettie Page. Fans of the legendary pin-up model will be able to choose from one of three versions of this gorgeous new statue based on the work of fan-favorite artist Terry Dodson. This stunning statue is a must-have for any true fans of Bettie Page!

The Dynamite "Terry Dodson Bettie Page Statue" Kickstarter campaign is live now, and can be found by visiting:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dynamiteent/bettie-page-statue-by-terry-dodson

Bettie Page was an American model who gained significant notoriety for her pin-up work in the 1950s. Often referred to as the "Queen of Pin-ups", her signature jet-black hair, fringe bangs and blue eyes influenced generations of artists and models to this day.  The native of Nashville, Tennessee made her way to New York City to become an actress, finding work as a model throughout the 50s.  She became the quintessential pin-up model and was one of the earliest Playmates of the Month for Playboy Magazine, appearing as Miss January 1955.  Playboy founder Hugh Hefner told the Associated Press in 2008: "I think she was a remarkable lady, an iconic figure in pop culture who influenced sexuality, taste in fashion, someone who had a tremendous impact on our society."

Olivia de Berardinis said in Bettie Page Reveals All, "There was nothing like Betty."

"She was the original model and she was an inspiration." Supermodel Shalom Harlow told E, "She was beautiful, but she had a sense of humor with everything she did. She created her own sense of style."

"It's cool to see my drawing in this great statue of Bettie Page!" Dodson said of the project, "I loved being involved with reintroduction of Bettie into the comics and I hope this combination of comic and statue will really resonate with fans."

Fan-favorite comic book artist Terry Dodson is one of the most popular and respected artists in comics today! His popularity gained momentum when at DC he provided covers and interiors for celebrated runs on Harley Quinn and Wonder Woman, continuing through to the Marvel Knights Spider-Man with Mark Millar and up to his most recent work at Marvel with the X-Men and with the Star Wars comic series with Mark Waid featuring Princess Leia.

Now, Dynamite proudly brings Dodson's vision of the glamorous Bettie Page to three dimensions with this hand-painted, limited edition resin statue line! Brought to full-color life by Rvckvs International. Further options available include the noir "black and white" edition, and the beautiful "bronze" edition.

"Our Bettie Page series had a fun new take on the character," states Dynamite CEO/Publisher Nick Barrucci.  "Bettie was a trailblazer, and a trendsetter, who inspired generations of women (and will no doubt inspire generations to come).  The cover that Terry Dodson turned in paid tribute to a beloved scene known to fans of The Rocketeer comic series from the late, great Dave Stevens, who became close friends with Page, the inspiration for "Betty", the actress/model girlfriend of his hero.  In life imitating art and then imitating life again, the Betty photo shoot scene was a play on Bettie Page's real-life photo shoots, and Terry's cover was an homage to Dave's.  We think Terry's cover stands out as one of the best pieces of Bettie Page today, and when you see it, you will see the passion Terry brought to his cover.  Turning his cover into this incredible statue, and Terry's happiness with the sculpt, is extremely gratifying and we cannot wait to bring this limited-edition collectible to fans!"

Production on these new offerings are currently under development, with an expected shipping date of August 2018.  Backers who support the Dynamite "Terry Dodson Bettie Page Statue" Kickstarter will have the opportunity to receive this statue and other rewards, including:

Digital and print copies of Bettie Page GN,  Bettie Page #1 signed by Terry Dodson The full-color Terry Dodson inspired Bettie Page statue,   The "black and white" Terry Dodson inspired Bettie Page statue,  The "bronze" Terry Dodson inspired Bettie Page statue,  With stretch goals, Dynamite will expand the statue to include more accessories and detail such as opening compartments with props inside.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NANCY DREW: A MODERN-DAY TAKE ON THE BELOVED DETECTIVEBY AN ALL-STAR CREATIVE TEAM INCLUDING KELLY THOMPSON AND JENN ST-ONGE

March 2, 2018, Mt. Laurel, NJ: Dynamite Entertainment proudly presents a new series, Nancy Drew, by Kelly Thompson (Hawkeye, Rogue & Gambit) and Jenn St-Onge (The Misfits, Giant Days). The teen sleuth's latest daring adventure debuts in June, with cover variant artwork by the astonishing assemblage of Tula Lotay (All-Star Batman), Marguerite Sauvage (Bombshells), Annie Wu (Black Canary), and series artist Jenn St-Onge.

In the new series, Nancy Drew is seventeen and good at everything... especially solving crimes. But her totally-in-control-and-obviously-running-perfectly-smooth-(but-not-really) life hits a snag when a mysterious message drags her back to the hometown she left behind. There she'll have to find out which of her friends are still her friends, which are enemies, and who exactly is trying to kill her...and (hopefully) stop them before they succeed. Nancy, the classic master teen mystery-cracker, will be shown in a way you've never seen before, by a creative team with a huge respect for the original tales, and what she could mean for a modern audience.

To writer Kelly Thompson, Nancy Drew is "a sassy super-independent detective, which is one of my favorite things ever. But one of my absolute favorite things about Nancy is the look on people's faces when you say her name. Everyone from my mother (who is never terribly interested in my superhero projects, but it very kind and pretends to be!) to friends of all different ages have this incredible connection to Nancy - and everyone sees her a bit differently. She is a powerful character that can connect to so many different people in so many different ways."

"As someone who read stacks of Carolyn Keene's mystery stories as a young girl, Nancy Drew has been high on my list of 'characters I'd like to draw comics of' for a while now," says artist Jenn St-Onge. "Getting to work on a series that I loved as a kid, as well as collaborating with Kelly Thompson again, is honestly the best possible combination I could've asked for! Nancy is clever, tough, and surrounded by close girlfriends who help her in her adventures, which I think is so super-important in telling stories about young women; I've yet to tire of telling stories about the resourcefulness of teens or the power of friendship, and this series is great in both departments."

"Kelly's bringing an incredible sense of character, stakes, and intrigue on top of a humongous vibe of fun," says editor Nate Cosby. "The attention of detail that Jenn has paid to designing Nancy and her supporting cast and their world is one of the most impressive sequential art feats I've ever seen…you're not just gonna love reading the story; you're gonna wanna hang out with Nancy and her buds. It's an utterly gorgeous bouncy blast of a book, with Triona Farrell bringing deft touch and texture on the color art, and thoughtfully unique letter stylings from Ariana Maher. Nancy is in the best creative hands possible."

Nancy Drew will be solicited in Diamond Comic Distributors' April 2018 Previews catalog, the premier source of merchandise for the comic book specialty market, and slated for release in June. Comic book fans are encouraged to reserve copies  with their local comic book retailers. Nancy Drew will also be available for individual customer purchase through digital platforms courtesy of Comixology, Kindle, iBooks, Google Play, Dynamite Digital, iVerse, Madefire, and Dark Horse Digital.
