For months there has been speculation that The Walking Dead’s Steven Yeun would be appearing in the upcoming Marvel movie The Thunderbolts and that he was possibly playing the powerhouse hero The Sentry. While these rumors have been pretty consistent for quite some time, there had been no confirmation of the casting of Yeun or the role… and then came Robert Kirkman. The creator of The Walking Dead and Invincible was on a podcast with artist David Finch and flat out said: “ My good friend Steven Yeun is playing the Sentry in a movie.” Adding to it, “ Yeah he called me, he went in for a costume fitting. I hope I’m not… I don’t think this is a spoiler or anything that will get anybody in trouble. I don’t know, maybe. We’ll see. I don’t care. I don’t work for Marvel. What are they going to do to me? He called me and said, ‘I just came back from a costume fitting for the Sentry. I guess I only do superheroes that are yellow and blue.’ He said he was at the costume fitting and was like, ‘Aww, crap. I forgot Invincible was yellow and blue.’” The Sentry is a is a Superman-level character with a few twists that make him someone the government might just want to take down. This could conceivable be the plot for the Thunderbolts movie.

She’s back! Marvel’s very own Star Wars superstar, DOCTOR APHRA, will headline a new ongoing comic series this June written by rising star Cherish Chen (Radiant Red) and drawn by longtime Star Wars artist Gabriel Guzman. Following Alex Segura and Phil Noto’s flagship Star Wars series launching in May, STAR WARS: DOCTOR APHRA – CHAOS AGENT will be the second launch in Marvel’s new era of Star Wars storytelling set in the largely unexplored post-Return of the Jedi time period. Debuting 10 years ago in the pages of Kieron Gillen and Salvador Larroca’s Darth Vader, Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra instantly captivated fans with her morally questionable nature and deadly dynamic with the Dark Lord of the Sith, becoming the first-ever comic book originating Star Wars character to star in their own solo series. After back-to-back hit 40-issue runs set during the Original Trilogy, Aphra embarks on her most unpredictable misadventures as the galaxy far, far away transforms in the wake of the Battle of Jakku. With her crimes pardoned, Aphra is enlisted by her friend Luke Skywalker to put her treasure hunting skills to good use on behalf of the New Republic! OUT FROM THE SHADOW OF DARTH VADER AND IN MORE TROUBLE THAN EVER! Doctor Aphra makes her way through the galaxy in the era of the New Republic! The rogue archaeologist must team up with Luke Skywalker to track down a rare artifact! And what will she do when her tattoos no longer function?! "In my humble opinion, there isn’t a more fun character to be writing in the Star Wars galaxy than the one and only Doctor Aphra,” said Chen. “Cooking up new adventures for her in this new era, throwing her into increasingly tricky moral quandaries, and testing her resolve (alongside some familiar faces) has truly been like playing in the ultimate sandbox. Our favorite chaos agent is back, and I cannot wait to share what we’ve been working on and for you all to see Gabriel’s incredibly dynamic art." Check out new covers by E.J. Su, Sara Pichelli and Karen S. Darboe and preorder STAR WARS: DOCTOR APHRA – CHAOS AGENT #1 at your local comic shop today!

Following his fate in Loki Season 2, many had no idea how Tom Hiddleston's Loki would play into Avengers: Doomsday, but now he will reportedly be the glue for the entire premise of the movie. Many always expected Hiddleston to be in the film in some capacity, but it seems as though he may be more vital than anyone could have ever imagined. Industry insider Alex Perez held a recent Q&A column on The Cosmic Circus to answer questions about future Marvel projects, specifically Avengers: Doomsday. One fan asked Perez what Loki's role would be in Doomsday and/or Secret Wars, and Perez's answer was rather shocking. "He’ll be our McGuffin. The race against Doomsday will be a race to see who gets to Loki first," Perez said. Avengers: Doomsday was expected to release on May 1, 2026, but a recent report indicated that it may be delayed. Greg Rucka ( The Old Guard) and Michael Lark, the Eisner Award-winning creative team behind New York Times bestselling sci-fi series, Lazarus, are returning to their neo-feudalist world with the final installment, Lazarus: Fallen. For the new series, Rucka and Lark are joined by Lazarus colorist Santi Arcas, letterer Ariana Maher, editor Alejandro Arbona, and graphic designers Eric Trautmann and Richard Howe on the creative team. In Lazarus: Fallen, which launches this June, warrior Forever Carlyle is finally free from the control of the power-hungry Carlyle Family that wielded her like a weapon, and this time Forever Carlyle means to burn down the world of the Families…even her own. The Lazarus series follows Forever Carlyle, an unkillable, genetically-engineered soldier, controlled by the mechanisms of her father, Malcolm Carlyle. Malcolm is the patriarch of one of the powerful Families that rose to rule the world after an economic-driven apocalypse. The Families now own everything and everyone; in this neo-feudalist order, you are either of value to the Families and made a Serf, or you are irrelevant, disposable labor, called Waste. But the Families are driven by greed, and in their unending pursuit of more and more, each created a Lazarus—a man or woman created and trained to be the loyal instrument of their Family’s will. Forever Carlyle is the Lazarus of the Carlyle Family, raised to absolutely believe in her duty to her family, and with an unquestioning loyalty to her father. That time is over, and now Forever—with the aid of her younger sister and next iteration of the Carlyle Lazarus, Infinity—means to destroy the world her father created. “Michael and I started Lazarus back in 2013, and while we knew we were telling a story that was a distorted reflection of our world, I don’t think either of us imagined how less distorted that vision would become,” said Rucka. “But for all the talk about the world-building, about the vision of the future—or arguably, prescience of the present— Lazarus has remained, at its heart, about Forever’s journey. We’re finally getting to the resolution of it—the ending that we’ve been working on from the start. There’s so much I’m excited about sharing with this final run. There are things that I think will surprise some readers—some twists that they, perhaps, didn’t see coming. I know that it’s been a long wait for these final issues, and I’m grateful for the patience our audience has shown. We’ve got the most amazing fans, and that is both humbling and gratifying.” Lark added: "I'm very happy to get Lazarus back into readers' hands. Greg has given me so much to explore with the characters and storytelling, and I'm really excited about the work I've been doing on the new issues. I think it is some of the best work I've ever done, and I hope readers feel the same." “I love working with Michael," said Rucka. "He fits my sensibilities for storytelling so effortlessly, and his character work is never anything less than superb. He always delivers on the action, but it’s in the quiet scenes, in the emotional beats, that I think he shines brightest—and it’s in those moments that the series lives and breathes. This is unquestionably the best work of Michael’s career thus far, and that is genuinely saying something.” Lazarus: Fallen #1 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, June 25, featuring a cover by Lark. The series will also be available across many digital platforms, including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play. For readers looking to catch up on the Lazarus series, the first issue is available to read for free on the Image Comics website here. Volumes 1-7, and the first three hardcover collections, are currently available for purchase at comic book shops, bookstores, and across many digital platforms. Lazarus: The Fourth Collection, a hardcover volume that collects Lazarus #27 and #28, and for the first time, the complete seven-issue run of Lazarus: Risen, with extras, will be available to purchase on May 21 at comic book shops (Lunar code 0325IM428) and on June 3 at independent bookstores (ISBN: 9781534335912), Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, Indigo, and Waterstones, and across many digital platforms. ...

Godzilla’s rampage across the Marvel Universe kicks off next week in GODZILLA VS. FANTASTIC FOUR #1 by Ryan North and John Romita Jr., the first of six one-shots pitting the King of the Monsters against iconic Marvel super heroes. The GODZILLA VS. one-shots are just the beginning of an exciting new collaboration between Marvel Comics and Toho International, the Japanese studio’s U.S.-based subsidiary that has brought global sensation Godzilla to life, and will conclude this July in GODZILLA VS. THOR #1 by legendary Thor scribe Jason Aaron and acclaimed artist Aaron Kuder. Taking place across various eras of both Marvel Comics AND Godzilla storytelling, these highly anticipated one-shots span the decades as Godzilla fights Marvel’s First Family in the Silver Age, throws down with the Hulk during the character’s influential ‘70s adventures, dukes it out with Spider-Man during the Wall Crawler’s ‘80s Black suit era, targets mutantkind at the peak of the X-Men’s popularity in the ‘90s, and confronts the iconic 2000s New Avengers lineup of Earth’s Mightest Heroes. Then, for the grand finale, Godzilla marches toward the Golden Realm to face off against perhaps the only Marvel hero who can truly take him on singlehandedly—THE MIGHTY THOR! Jason Aaron makes his triumphant return to Asgard for a battle that will shake the heavens with roaring thunder! ROUND SIX: VS. THE GOD OF THUNDER! The deadly group of assassins known as THE HAND have bestowed GODZILLA with the power of THE BEAST! KRA-KOOM!!! THOR must defend MIDGARD from GODZILLA — but at what cost?! “There are almost as many toy kaiju in my office as there are Mjolnirs, which is really saying something, so it made sense for me to bring two of my favorite characters together for one titanic clash,” Aaron shared. “Aaron Kuder and I are using the Godzilla from Giant Monsters All-Out Attack, one of the most brutal and powerful versions of the King of the Monsters, so expect a colossal battle that I think will rival some of the most epic, cosmic throwdowns I've ever written with the God of Thunder.” Check out GODZILLA VS. THOR #1 covers including Aaron Kuder’s main cover, a Foil Variant Cover by Mark Bagley, the latest in Nick Bradshaw’s Monster Homage Variant Cover series, a King of the Monsters Variant Cover by Gavin Guidry and an all-new cover by one of the most celebrated Thor storytellers of all time, Walter Simonson! This June Dynamite Entertainment presents the She-Devil With a Sword in a new, moodier light. The Red Sonja: Noir special is coming soon from fan-favorite pulp master David Avallone and artist Edu Menna.
The ultimate femme fatale has featured in so many different kinds of stories through the years, from her flagship sword and sorcery adventures, to genre twists, and unexpected crossovers. This summer fans can enjoy the miraculous results of when Hyrkanian steel mix with pulp adventure. The crimson-haired heroine of song and legend muscles her way into trouble once more in the hard-boiled Hyborian Age.
In this new deluxe release with 28 story pages and cardstock covers, Sonja finds a mercenary partner of hers murdered in cold blood. On a quest of revenge, the warrior sets out on a feverish hunt for a priceless artifact known as the Crimson Calypso. Along the way she'll have to slice her way through webs of deception and violence, waging a war of both weapons and wit against a pitiless foe. Worthy wordsmith David Avallone is back with his biggest Red Sonja tale yet, following his debut with the character in Red Sonja: Black, White, Red #6, adjacent brushes with the character in recent Savage Tales specials, and some homage in the delightful Bettie Page Unbound. The critically acclaimed writer has become a favorite for Dynamite diehards over the years with his brilliant work on the aforementioned queen of the pinups as well as his tales of Elvira, the Mistress of the Dark. With other contributions to The Shadow, Zorro, and more, he's a master of pulp and noir, perfect for this unique take on Sonja! Avallone is joined on Red Sonja: Noir by the incredible ink-slinger Edu Menna, who has wowed fans with his moody artwork on titles like Army of Darkness 1979, Alice Cooper, Miss Fury: Joy Division, and more. This is actually a return to the character for Menna as well, a decade in the making, following his work on Red Sonja Annual #4 from Dynamite's original ongoing for the character.
The creative team is joined by a trio of treacherously alluring covers. Led by an absolute show-stopper by Lesley "Leirix" Li, she's joined by superstar Joseph Michael Linsner, and cosplayer Molly Stewart.

This July, Marvel’s First Family will enter a bold new era in an all-new ongoing comic book series! Written by Ryan North (One World Under Doom, Fantastic Four) and drawn by artist Humberto Ramos (Spider-Boy, Strange Academy), the new comic series will test the strength of the Fantastic Four as they embark on adventures through time, space, science, and the human condition in a way we have never seen before. Beginning during the events of One World Under Doom, also helmed by North, the Fantastic Four face Doom in a fight to save the world – until it suddenly goes catastrophically wrong, sending them to four different eras in Earth’s history! Alone and isolated in wildly different time periods, Reed, Johnny, Ben, and Sue all have to fight to survive. Their only hope is to reach the Forever Stone: a mass of dense granite that happens to be one of the longest-lasting rocks on the planet, which - through a combination of obscurity and raw geologic luck - has stayed both intact and accessible for most of Earth's history. “People often think of the FF in terms of family, and they’re not wrong, but I think there’s something really beautiful about friendship too, and we get to see that with these characters,” North said. “It’s high-concept science fiction with real emotion. What’s not to like?” Following the currently acclaimed multi-year run wrapping this June, the new FANTASTIC FOUR series will begin with an extra-big, extra-special first issue, featuring shocking surprises and battles against the steepest odds, all brought to life by the incredible art of Humberto Ramos! “I’ve been lucky to illustrate many of the most iconic superheroes in the universe, but this book felt different from the start,” shared Ramos. “The weight of history and legacy of these characters lay upon your shoulders, no matter who you are or how you’ve worked in this industry.” Just ahead of Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps this July, this new series will be the perfect jumping on point for both new and longtime FF fans. Don’t miss the start of a new Fantastic Four saga, in comic shops everywhere this summer!

The Big Bang Theory spinoff on Max is untitled no more — and it’s good news and bad news for Kevin Sussman’s Stuart Bloom character. The series, which remains in development, will be titled Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, Deadline reports. That puts Stuart at the center of the offshoot but also hints that the beloved sidekick, who could never quite catch a break on Big Bang, might not have better luck on his own. On Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, Sussman is joined by fellow Big Bang alums Lauren Lapkus, who plays Kevin’s girlfriend Denise, Brian Posehn (Bert Kibbler) and John Ross Bowie (Barry Kripke). Because the series is still awaiting a green light, the quartet are not formally cast in it but have talent holding deals with WBTV with the purpose of starring in the spinoff once it’s picked up.

Following the success of The Boys on Prime Video, creator Eric Kripke's superhero satire franchise is now set to expand with a spinoff that takes place in the 1950s. Hailing from showrunner Paul Grellong, Vought Rising's story has been described as a murder mystery about Vought's origins, with both Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy and Aya Cash's Stormfront, aka Clara Vought, both confirmed to star. Variety is reporting that Will Hochman has been cast in Vought Rising in an undisclosed role. Hochman starred in five seasons of Blue Bloods as Joe Hill. In addition, Deadline reports that Euphoria actor Elizabeth Posey has also joined the spinoff, though it's not clear who she will be playing. Production is expected to get underway later this year. So far, the only actors from the cast of The Boys confirmed to appear are Cash and Ackles. The Boys season 5 started filming last November and is slated to release at some point in 2026.
