Dynamite - The Official Site Killing Red Sonja, George R.R. ...

Dynamite announces an immediate pause to all digital distribution for new comic book releases with an original release date starting with April 1.

This decision is in keeping with the industry at large, supporting all business partners in the most responsible manner, and making sure all fans are served the stories they desire on a level playing field. Book market releases that have not already been shipped are on pause as well.

Dynamite has already announced developing returnability options for retailers and a reshaped release schedule for comics intended for release in July and available to preorder in May. Fans are encouraged to continue reading and purchasing the comics they love at this time through whichever means they prefer, to support this community and art form cherished by many.

These decisions will be reevaluated and updated as the industry develops in this period.

"We know comic fans everywhere have been watching closely to see what their favorite publishers and retailers are able and choosing to do in this very complex time. And whether they will be getting the comics they love to read and collect this week and in the coming weeks. We've chosen to keep all our retail partners and fans on the same page, literally. If all retailers receive the periodicals and collections at the same time, including and especially our bestsellers, that is the best chance for the industry to come out of this strong. Every sale of a new periodical or collection taken out of the retailer's hands is one more blow to them, and we want all retailers to survive this pandemic to continue to be there for all fans. We feel this is the ...

Two fun-filled Vampirella graphic novels coming in hot from Dynamite in June!

Dropping the same month for the Vampirella faithful fans and newcomers of all stripes, VENGEANCE OF VAMPIRELLA and VAMPIRELLA/RED SONJA see their first paperback collections. As summer hits in the northern hemisphere, these are perfect beach reads. But for those entering winter, they're just as perfect to cozy up next to the fire with.

Sporting an appropriately blood-soaked (not literally) cover by master painter Lucio Parrillo, VENGEANCE OF VAMPIRELLA VOL 1: REBIRTH is not to be missed. Though perfectly able to be jumped right into, the series picks up right where Vampirella: Death & Destruction #3 left off in 1996 - kind of... Writer Tom Sniegoski (Punisher, The Goon) continues his fan-favorite run on the vampiress started 25 years prior, including the last ending with her death, and incorporating the lapsed time into the story. Across these first six issues, Vampirella is resurrected as a savior among the apocalypse brought on by Mistress Nyx and her Chaos Lords. Awoken from a decades-long slumber, she's angrier and more vicious than ever before!

Following in the footsteps of influential artists from the original run including Amanda Conner, Ed McGuinness, and Buzz, rising talent Michael Sta. Maria (Fathom) breaks out with art that Vampirella fans have lauded right from the gorgeous second-page splash. Colors from fellow Filipino Omi Remalante Jr. bring together a book that is both a spiritual successor to the beloved heights of the 1990s bad girls and as cutting edge as any comic book today.

"Working on Vengeance of Vampirella has been challenging since I consider this my first big professional work," said artist Sta. Maria. "Each issue is a blast thanks to Tom's scripts ...

The Green Hornet strikes in a slick new series by prolific scribe Scott Lobdell and artistic mogul and teacher Anthony Marques, from Dynamite in June! In time to help commemorate the 10th anniversary of Dynamite's publishing the iconic character!

Green Hornet, Kato, the Black Beauty and a bounty of gadgets are back in this artistically unique series. Featuring a slimmed-down, tight-knit creative team, fans of the classic pulp hero will be amazed. Writer Scott Lobdell (Flash Forward, Uncanny X-Men) is joined by artist Anthony Marques (Red Sonja, Vampirella), who is also handling coloring to create a stylish, minimalist palette of black, white and green. Letterer extraordinaire Taylor Esposito (Batman, No One Left To Fight) plays the comic book bass with his consistently on-point storytelling. And did we mention there's a baby? An alien baby?

This creative team is going on nearly a decade working together in various capacities. First meeting on Red Hood and the Outlaws, Anthony has worked with his collaborators across multiple publishers including Dynamite as an editor. Today he is additionally the proprietor of the famous The Kubert School, where Esposito also currently works as an instructor. Their chemistry and candor could not be contained when Dynamite reached out for comment.

"The world is going to change for the Green Hornet and Kato in a huge way!" said artist Anthony Marques. "Scott has crafted a Green Hornet story unlike any other and I'm so excited to be the one who gets to draw it! Everyone is putting in the work to deliver not only the best Green Hornet series but the best comic series available today!"

Writer Scott Lobdell added, "One of the most fun parts of Green Hornet is the way the character lends itself to any kind of ...

Bettie Page is back and better than ever, with a new alternate history twist making her a true Hollywood star in the making - and suspect to a murder!

Writer Karla Pacheco (Spider-Woman) brings her kickass skill and sensibilities to another iconic babe, building up a new yarn for Bettie that's part pulp noir, part pin-up, stylized yet realistic. She's joined by Italian artist Vincenzo Federici (Army of Darkness/Bubba Ho-Tep), who's drawn the "Dark Angel" before. Rounding out the team are colorist Rebecca Nalty and letterer Becca Carey.

"Bettie Page has always been a huge idol for me. Not just for her iconic style, but the way she brought such a sense of joy and delight to her performances and sensuality," said writer Karla Pacheco. "We're taking Bettie Page’s amazing spirit, and imagining a timeline where she was finally given the chance to reach her full potential as a star - even though it’s far from smooth sailing! We've got twists, turns, secrets and lies - the whole shebang! Plus we have Vincenzo, Rebecca and Becca all coming together to create a drop-dead gorgeous, colorful dream of a book! It's brassy, bold, (frequently criminal) fun, and I think it's going to be a really exciting adventure for both readers and “our” Bettie."

Artist Vincenzo Federici added, "Being on this book is simply... incredible! When I was a teen, I totally fell in love with Bettie as an icon. Now I have the opportunity to work on her stories and with Karla, one of the coolest writers in the industry! I know it will be a challenge because we have a lot of characters and maybe a lot of elephants (Karla says!), but I'm taking inspiration from my idol Alan Davis, a ...

Dynamite Books continues its exciting line launch by diving back into the publisher’s hit action prose series SEAL Team Six: No More. The thirteenth book in the series, A New Flame, brings together writers Max Kent and Dan Wickline to tell an adventure ripped from today’s headlines. This new novel is available in print, e-book and audiobook today.

In SEAL Team Six: No More – A New Flame, Randall "Flame" O’Donnell is called upon by a Navy admiral on a very personal mission. A 16-year old American boy has been lured into a warzone in the Middle East, and the team is asked to bring him home safely, even if it’s against his wishes. The mission takes Flame into Syria as the war against ISIS rages on and the battle to tear down the caliphate is in full swing. But why are the People’s Protection Units, the allies of the Americans against the terrorist nation, enticing children into becoming soldiers? How does Flame find and convince a young man to abandon his crusade and return home to his family? And if he can, then the rest of the team must be ready to go in and get them out in possibly the largest push to retake Raqqah.

Check out a teaser trailer for the book here!

Kent is a military enthusiast with extensive knowledge of history, tactics, and technical details. He recently teamed with Rik Hoskin for his first novel, SEAL Team Six: Executive Order. Wickline is the creator of the Legacy of Lucius Fogg novels as well as the recent hit comic series The Freeze. While he has worked in most genres, this is his first foray into military fiction after spending his teenage years reading every Mack Bolan: The Executioner, ...

Dynamite is proud to once again celebrate an artistic luminary with a set of special variant covers, as Juan Gedeon homages Jim Lee's iconic covers.

Artist Juan Gedeon (Venom, Ghost Racers) returns for another fun set of covers following his zombie infected pieces from March - in stores soon - that connected and told a story. This time he's paying homage to one of the most influential artist of all time, Jim Lee. Involved issues include Vampirella #11, Red Sonja #16, Vampirella/Red Sonja #9, Dejah Thoris #6, Killing Red Sonja #3 and Death to the Army of Darkness #4. All are respectively based on Superman #204, Batman #608, X-Men #1, Captain America #700 (or originally a splash page from Uncanny X-Men #268), All-Star Batman & Robin #9, and WildC.A.T.s #1. Each one is colored by Carlos Cabrera.

"I started looking at Jim's work with Hush and then went back to his Marvel work, as I was young when that all was coming out," said artist Juan Gedeon. "I think he's done the definitive versions of both Batman and Cyclops, two awesome characters. His poses are strong and beautiful, and of course his design work for both X-Men and WildC.A.T.s is cool as hell! I drew a story a while ago where I was asked to use his work as reference, and it really made me appreciate his craft."

Each of these variants homaging Jim Lee will be solicited in Diamond Comic Distributors' March Previews for May on-sale. Comic fans are encouraged to preorder copies with their Local Comic Shops.

Gedeon couldn't help ...
