Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters
Celebrates 40 Years With Kickstarter!

Don Chin's Classic Black & White Boom Series
Remastered in Complete Volumes!

June 18, Mt. Laurel, NJ:
Dynamite Entertainment is proud to present a limited time Kickstarter campaign offering fans the first ever comprehensive reprint volumes of Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters, the classic anthropomorphic action adventure series created by Don Chin. The campaign is currently live, and fans are encouraged to lock in their pledge to secure their hauls!

Chin's Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters debuted in 1986 amongst a wave of funny animal parody comics mirroring the excitement of a certain batch of half-shell heroes, with the first issue of ARBBH featuring a cover directly tributing the historic works of Eastman and Laird. But Don Chin's creation rose above the avalanche of upstarts during what comics historians refer to as the "black and white boom" when the accessibility of creation, printing, and distribution of comics provided a platform for the first major legion of independent creators. Like their reptile cousins, the Hamsters developed a passionate following, continuing their adventures across over 20 issues over four fabulous decades.

Now the historic 40th anniversary of these heroic hamsters captures all of those classic adventures into two meticulously remastered tomes. Fans can opt for their preferred formats, from paperbacks and hardcovers, to a sleek slipcase, or signed and remarqued editions by Don Chin himself.

Volume 1 includes:
Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters (1986) #1-9
Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters: Escape from New York
Clint: Hamster Triumphant #1-2

Volume 2 rounds out with:
Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters 3-D #1-4
Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters Massacre the Japanese Invasion
Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters: The Lost Treasures
Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters (2008) #1-4

Each book comes out to over 300 pages of martial arts mayhem and hectic hamsterdom. Of particular note, the second book kicks off with unforgettable 3D comics that pushed the boundaries of comics storytelling. To complete the experience, a copy of 3D glasses are included with the books for fans to fully enjoy this experience.

An incredible cast of creators in addition to Don Chin contributed to the saga of ARBBH through the years, including the likes of Patrick Parsons, Sam Kieth, Brent Anderson, Michael Avon-Oeming, Bill Maus, Tom Sutton, Ron Lim, Gary Bloomfield, Moose Baumann, and many more.

The Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters were born during one of the most creative periods in comic book history. Their adventures captured the spirit of independent publishing, proving that imagination, humor, and sheer creative energy could build a passionate fan community that endures for decades. Now original creator Don Chin is working closely with Dynamite's team to ensure these anniversary editions become the definitive version and celebration of this legacy.

In addition to the reprint books, fans can opt for additional extras on the Kickstarter, such as a limited facsimile edition of the first issue, one-of-one character sketches by fan-favorite artist Ken Haeser, and more.
