Dynamite & Phil Foglio Team Up!
For Limited Edition Steampunk Red Sonja Comic

January 25, Mt. Laurel, NJ:
Dynamite announces a fun limited edition collaboration with beloved creator Phil Foglio on a Red Sonja variant cover comic book.

Fans of Phil and of Red Sonja can head to Indiegogo right now to secure their copies of this premium collectible, depicting the She-Devil With a Sword with a steampunk twist, much in the vein of Foglio's signature series Girl Genius. Underneath the beautiful cover is a special presentation of Legenderry Red Sonja #1 by writer Marc Andreyko and artist Igor Lima.

"You can't buy entertainment like this… Oh wait, Yes you can!," said Phil Foglio.

The multitalented Phil Foglio is known for his writing and art in a wide range of genres and characters, particularly in sci-fi and fantasy. Through the years he has contributed stories and artwork to legendary gaming and roleplaying franchises like Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering, including the fan-favorite comic strip What's New with Phil & Dixie. In the early 1990s Foglio wrote and drew a trio of titles for DC Comics resurrecting classic characters Plastic Man and others.

Alongside his wife Kaja, Foglio has been working on his independently owned creation Girl Genius since 2001. The series stars Agatha Heterodyne in a world filled with Industrial Revolution and futurist inspired technology as well as a hearty dash of fantasy and magic. Often labeled as steampunk, the Foglios prefer the term "gaslamp fantasy."

Starting a couple years after its launch, Girl Genius blazed a trail as one of the first prominent webcomics. Following their initial free to read online debut, chapters are then printed in bestselling graphic novels, with nearly 20 volumes out to date. The world of Girl Genius has also been adapted into novels, tabletop games, and video games. The series has been nominated for and won several awards, such as Hugos and Eisners.

The Red Sonja limited edition comic book is available with multiple variations. The standard option features Phil's illustration in full color and Dynamite's trade dress with logos. An alternate "virgin" option knocks said logo off. Versions without color are also on offer, to focus on Foglio's intricate lines.
