Amanda Conner's Dynamite Artwork Celebrated
With Limited Sketchbook on Indiegogo!

Vampirella and Red Sonja Across Over 25 Years With Process & Extras

September 12, Mt. Laurel, NJ:
The legendary Amanda Conner is celebrated in a brand new limited edition sketchbook comic featuring her work for Dynamite and across superstar characters like Vampirella and Red Sonja. This tribute to her top tier illustration and process is available for fans to secure for their collection right now on Indiegogo!

Conner's career in comics goes back over 35 years and running, and one of her first big breakouts was as the primary artist for Vampirella from 1996 to 1998, with further contributions beyond. Her instantly recognizable, signature style with its cartooning elements had found a perfect match, following a little bit of typecasting on all-ages and licensed work which still captured her brilliant talent. Alongside the rise of the "bad girls" trend of the era, Amanda's superstardom rose quickly and for years she's been one of the top talents in the industry.

Featuring 40 pages stuffed full of artwork across many stages, this exclusive periodical turns the spotlight to those breakout works as well as Amanda's most recent masterpieces like her cover run on the critically acclaimed Invincible Red Sonja series she also wrote with husband and frequent collaborator in writing and art Jimmy Palmiotti. Dynamite and Conner have worked together to dig into her personal art files for a unique look into the design and process of her biggest covers, including layouts, raw pencils, inks, and the final colored artwork.

"I've had a long great relationship with Amanda and Jimmy, going back well over 20 years," said Nick Barrucci, Dynamite CEO and Publisher. "They're wonderful people, creators, and titans of this medium and industry. We've been fortunate to work together in many ways through the years, including Amanda doing work with some of Dynamite's biggest characters and titles. Having her not only return to Vampirella, but also make her huge mark on Red Sonja has been a joy. We can't wait for fans to dig into this celebration and behind the scenes look at her unparalleled work!"

Amanda has been recognized not only by fans and peers, but received several awards and accolades for her works including Inkwell, Inkpot, and the Joe Kubert Distinguished Storyteller Awards. A certified "hall of famer," she's also known for a wide range of works outside of Dynamite such as a long celebrated tenure on Harley Quinn as well as writing and/or art for Power Girl, The Pro, Before Watchmen, Supergirl, Painkiller Jane, Barbie, Gargoyles, and countless captivating covers.

In addition to the sketchbook comic, the Indiegogo campaign offers fans other reward options. The perfect pairing is the Vampirella special edition variant cover previously offered in a campaign. This book reprints one of her biggest stories on the character as well as one of the hardest to find, includes a custom checklist of her contributions to the character, and a stunning original cover.

Fans can add-on a trading card set featuring her Red Sonja work, high quality lithograph print of her Sonja or Vampirella, or her beautiful Red Sonja statue. The core sketchbook comic is also available CGC graded and slabbed. Many of the items within the campaign are also available signed by Amanda.

One of the most exciting add-ons is the Invincible Red Sonja omnibus edition, available in hardcover or paperback. This tome collects the entire 10 issue epic of the She-Devil With a Sword written by Amanda and Jimmy Palmiotti, with art by Moritat (All-Star Western, Sheena Queen of the Jungle). This tale takes the classic Robert E. Howard and 70s era comics energy, modern sensibilities and concocts an adventure feauring pirates, mermaids, princesses, and political intrigue.

Dynamite expects to send this book to press by the end of this same month in September, and for backers to have it in their hands before Halloween. This book will be limited to a tight print run based on the support of fans on Indiegogo, so collectors will not want to miss on this ultra-rare encapsulation of one of the biggest creators' signature works.
