December 18, Mt. Laurel, NJ: The first exciting collection of modern comic book stories starring the beloved The Powerpuff Girls makes its way into the hands of fans in the new year. The Day is Saved is coming this March from Dynamite Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products.
Sugar, spice, and everything nice — these are the ingredients to make the perfect little girl! But one fateful day in his lab, Professor Utonium accidentally added a dash of the mysterious Chemical X into the batch. That day, the almighty Powerpuff Girls were born. The first batch of their latest adventures chronicled in comic books are being compiled into a slick new edition for fans.
The Powerpuff Girls: The Day is Saved is available as either a hardcover or paperback, providing a choice for all kinds of readers and collectors. Within are the complete first three issues of the ongoing series. Industry superstar writer Kelly Thompson (Birds of Prey, Captain Marvel, Scarlett) assembles a trio of artists to tackle each issue, Paulina Ganucheau, Karen S. Darboe, and Miriana Puglia. As a perfect cherry on top, the Powerpuff Girls Halloween Special from 2024 is also included. That oversized story is a unique artistic vision of the super-powered sisters by creative and life partners Amanda Deibert and Cat Staggs. The book will also feature a complete cover gallery, showcasing all the beautiful artwork connected to the original periodical releases.
In addition to Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup, and their father Professor Utonium, these stories feature a wide range of beloved villains and other cast members. Fan-favorites Mojo Jojo, HIM, Big Bang, and more are showcased in original adventures that will delight fans of multiple generations.
