ThunderCats Comic Book Classics Find New Life Through BackerKit
Fans Can Sign Up for Early Updates & Exclusives!
| November 4, Mt. Laurel, NJ: Dynamite Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products are excited to announce and tease a historic first BackerKit campaign in their partnership. This expansive project will be timed to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the franchise in 2025, and the perfect way to connect and engage directly with the most diehard fans as well as the legion of newcomers spawned from the new juggernaut comic series in stores each month.
The core offering of this BackeerKit will be deluxe, curated collections of the complete earliest ThunderCats comic book series. Originally published alongside the original television show from 1985 to 1988, the comic book series ran for 24 issues. Contributing creators included David Michelinie, Gerry Conway, Jim Mooney, Steve Perry, Tom DeFalco, Dwight Jon Zimmerman, Jose Delbo, Ernie Colon, Dwayne Turner, Al Williamson, Brett Breeding, Al Gordon, Vince Colletta, and others. Fans will have their choice of formats, with premium and collectible options offered as well.
