Disney's DuckTales Comics Classics Available on Kickstarter!
Multiple Formats & Extras Available for Stories Across 40 Years!

July 21, Mt. Laurel, NJ:
Woo-hoo! Following the finale of its first series of new DuckTales stories, Dynamite Entertainment is excited to announce a Kickstarter campaign offering readers of all generations a chance to add up to five volumes of beloved DuckTales comics to their collection, including some that have been out of print for nearly four decades. The campaign is live now, with additional details available on the campaign page.

A brand-new era of DuckTales comics just concluded its year-long epic, as acclaimed all-ages author Brandon Montclare (Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Rocket Girl) and his collaborator, Italian Disney comics virtuoso Tommaso Ronda chronicled a delightful rollercoaster for fans with Uncle Scrooge regaling Huey, Dewey, and Louie with key tales of his life. Interspersed with these flashbacks are stories of the "core four" going on new adventures in the town of Duckburg and beyond. This complete series, as well as the DuckTales Valentine's Day Special by Connor Ratliff, James III, and Carlo Lauro, is included in this Kickstarter as the fifth volume titled Four Corners of Your World.

Exciting for both longtime Disney Ducks comics collectors, fans of the various DuckTales shows, and those looking for engaging reading for themselves or younger audiences, this campaign also features four matching volumes presenting tales from the vault starring Scrooge, Huey, Dewey, Louie, and the extended beloved cast.

A first volume, Coin of the Realm, kicks off the set with the complete baker's dozen of issues for the first-ever DuckTales comic book. Starting in 1988, this series ran alongside the original show that was a hallmark for so many childhoods. The series was originally published by the legendary Gladstone, a company founded and dedicated to the legacy of Disney comics. These journeys, which include contributions from Disney comics creators like William Van Horn, Daan Jippes, and artists from the Jaime Diaz Studio, return here for readers.

Fans of mainstream superhero comics will enjoy the second volume, Scrooge's Quest, which covers the era of DuckTales comics under the Disney Comics brand of the early 1990s, anchored by its eponymous epic written by Marv Wolfman (New Teen Titans, Amazing Spider-Man) and drawn by Cosme Quartieri. That story is followed by another seven-part saga in the "Gold Odyssey."

The third book, Like a Hurricane, compiles early 2010s tales originally published by Boom! Studios. A highlight within is a run written by Warren Spector, known for his work as a designer, director, and writer for video games, including Epic Mickey, followed by these stories starring Disney's ducks. His tenure concludes with a crossover between DuckTales and a fan-favorite era of Darkwing Duck stories.

To round out the set, the fourth volume is Money-Grubbing Hooligans from the Deep! 2017 saw the return of Duckburg and its most famous residents to the screen with the second show. Alongside the new episodes, Disney duck fans also enjoyed a set of comics stories matching its stylings. Creators including Joey Cavalieri, Joe Caramagna, and Ciro Cangialosi have their work featured within.

The five books range from around 250 to nearly 600 pages, all available in multiple formats. Each book will be offered in paperback and hardcover editions, with select special editions available as part of the campaign. Fans seeking the ultimate collection can opt for the slipcase box set which features a custom "vault" look inspired by Scrooge's iconic Money Bin.

In addition to the central set of books, the campaign also features a selection of limited edition comics from the new Dynamite era. Variant editions, print collectibles, and other specialty items are available on their own or as add-ons to book selections.

The Kickstarter campaign is set for a limited time. Fulfillment timing and details will be provided to supporters via the campaign.
