September 4, Mt. Laurel, NJ: Dynamite is proud to announce and thank retailers for making October's orders being the highest of the year. As an additional thank you for the support, with orders increasing to incredible numbers, Dynamite is extending the timeline for returnability through the October 5 Final Order Cutoff and October 28 in stores. All new release comic titles released in this window are fully returnable by retailers.
Over the past several months, Dynamite has been overjoyed to see retailers overwhelmingly supporting the latest releases, with FOC order numbers consistently up double digits on nearly every title. This support has now extended into initial orders with the August-for-October cycle. Across the board, sales for every Dynamite title are up compared to their previous issues from 10 percent to a whopping 40 percent! With some titles 15 issues into their runs, these numbers are unprecedented in today's industry.
October's debut series, the giant and gruesome crossover DIE!NAMITE is kicking off strong with huge initial orders, projecting to hit well within the top 25 in the sales rankings for the month. Fans are going to bite deep into this zombie extravaganza when it hits their Local Comic Shops on October 7. The story and art are going to rock, thanks to a cream of the crop creative team of Declan Shalvey, Fred Van Lente, Vincenzo Carratu, Justin Mason, Kike J. Diaz, and covers by Lucio Parrillo, Peach Momoko, Arthur Suydam, and more.
These successes are all thanks to the support from retailers and fans. The support from retailers selling Dynamite's ongoing series, as well as fans reading and collecting them, has been incredibly rewarding for all the hard work of the creators, editors, marketing/sales staff and more. Dynamite would like to wholeheartedly thank every retailer who has been a part of this success. It is also a great sign in terms of retailers around the country recovering more from the pandemic and industry shutdown, in spite of continuing challenges for many. Though because of those persisting challenges and just a sign of goodwill, Dynamite is steadfast in extending its returnable program for periodical comics.
"This has been a tough year for the world, and the industry. We want to thank retailers who support our books by continuing our returnability through October, our biggest month of the year to date," said Nick Barrucci, Dynamite CEO and Publisher. "This will allow retailers to continue to have more copies of the books on their shelves and increase the visibility of these great books that everyone involved works so hard on, from creators, to editors and the entire team at Dynamite. We want to help continue to grow the market for everyone."
