January 17, 2011, Runnemede, NJ - Dynamite is proud to announce that Vampirella Archives, Vol. 1 is #1 on Hardcover Graphic Books New York Times Bestseller List for the week of January 23rd!

With Vampirella Archive, Vol. 1 HC, Dynamite is collecting all Vampirella stories from the beginning in a hardcover archive collection FOR THE FIRST TIME!  In September 1969, Vampirella #1 debuted with a stunning cover by the legendary Frank Frazetta - and quickly made publishing history! The writers and artists that contributed during the magazine's original run included Jose Gonzalez, Archie Goodwin, Doug Moench, Bernie Wrightson, Barry Windsor Smith, Esteban Maroto, Frank Brunner, Mike Ploog, Rudy Nebres, Richard Corben, Pablo Marcos, Wally Wood, and many more!  Featuring work by Forest J. Ackerman, Don Glut, Tom Sutton, Neal Adams, Ernie Colon, Billy Graham, Alan Weiss, Jeff Jones, and Frank Frazetta, Volume One collects the first seven terrifying issues of the magazine's original run, reprinted in its original magazine-sized format, and features the very first Vampirella cover by the immortal Frank Frazetta!

Following this best-selling series will be Vol. 2 and Vol. 3 of Vampirella Archives.  Vampirella Archives, Vol. 2 will contain more classic stories of Vampirella in complete reprints from issue 8-14 of the original Vampirella Magazine series.  A rogue's gallery of creators are on board in these classic tales faithfully collected and brought to you by Dynamite Entertainment. Archie Goodwin begins writing the tales of Vampirella and evolves the heroine to a new, more sophisticated level of depth into what became the most treasured Vampirella stories of all time. Contributing to Archie's storylines and the quintessential look of Vampirella was the art of Jose Gonzalez, which kicks off in this very collection with "Death's Dark Angel." It hardly ends there with classic short stories from the likes of Neal Adams, Wally Wood, Barry Windsor Smith, Jeff Jones, Denny O'Neil, Steve Englehart, Dave Cockrum, Frank Brunner, Esteban Maroto and more! All encased in a beautiful bound volume with a cover by master artist Sanjulian.  Volume 2 collects 7 more terrifying issues of the magazine's original run, issues 8-14, reprinted in its original magazine-sized format. Vampirella Volume 2 Archives is scheduled to be in stores on February 2nd.

Vampirella Archives, Vol. 3 will collect issues 15-21 of the original Vampirella magazine series, Dynamite continues it's resurrection of classic horror! Some of Vampirella's most memorable stories, including the classic tale "...And To Be A Bride Of Chaos" and her unforgettable encounter with Dracula in "Dracula Still Lives!" A showcase of other short stories not seen in print since their inception are once again included in this collection. Also collected are more rare and vintage content like "Vampi's Scarlett Letters," "Vampi's Feary Tales" and "Vampi's Flames" showcasing some of Vampirella Magazine's best creators.
