WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE
Dynamite and Frank Cho Team-Up to Present the Ultimate Jungle Girl

May 14, RUNNEMEDE, NJ - Dynamite Entertainment announced today that the debut #0 issue of their all-new Jungle Girl comic book series will debut in July, and for just a quarter!

Featuring covers and story by the master of the female form - Frank Cho - Dynamite's Jungle Girl #0 also welcomes writer Doug Murray on board for the series as well as series artist Adriano Batista! The whole thing kicks off in July with a special priced, introductory #0 issue which drops us into the heart of a dark and mysterious jungle - and from this darkness comes the beautiful and deadly - Jungle Girl!

"Frank's a great artist, a cool creator and a friend.  From when he first came to us and suggested working with Doug on Savage Red Sonja: Queen of the Frozen Wastes mini-series, we let it be known that we were happy to work with Frank any time!" explained Dynamite. "A few conversations later, we zeroed in on the Jungle Girl, which he and Doug were happy to cook up with us. From there, it just became a matter of freeing up Adriano to draw the series and BAM - the Jungle Girl was born!  We're thrilled at the creative direction this is going in, and that Frank is working with us on this project, injecting it with his sensibilities and love of dinosaurs!  We wanted to get the widest audience possible, and have arranged to make this our summer launch at the introductory price of only a quarter!  And I can't say this enough, wait until you see the dinosaurs!"

Frank Cho Exclaimed - "Jungle Girl is a fun comic for me.  Doug Murray and I put in everything we love about Edgar Rice Burroughs books and Ray Harryhausen movies. It's a rollercoaster ride of Jungle mayhem and high adventures."

Doug Murray Proudly States, "I grew up reading Edgar Rice Burroughs whose stories of hidden worlds always fascinated me and drove me to spend endless afternoons at the Museum of Natural History in New York, studying the huge dinosaur statues there. As I got older, I began to notice girls-- which also came to fascinate me-- so the opportunity to take a gorgeous girl (and Frank Cho's girls are always gorgeous) and put her in a world filled with dinosaurs, early mammals, and all kinds of other threats and let things play out.  It's a fun world-- and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do."

Issue #0 of Dynamite's Jungle Girl will feature a cliffhanger ending that leads directly into the opening of issue #1 and the first four issue story arc. Issue #1 will be solicited in the August Previews, once again featuring the creative team of Cho, Murray and Batista!
