May 17, 2007, Runnemede, NJ - DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT today released images and information featuring the final issue of their hit sci-fi series NEW BATTLESTAR GALACTICA #12 (of 12), which concludes the spectacular comic book companion "season" from Greg (World War Hulk) Pak and artist Nigel Raynor.

New Battlestar Galactica #12 will be available with covers by Joe Prado and Stephen Segovia and Battlestar interior artist Nigel Raynor, as well as another out-of-this-world Battlestar photo cover. Also, Battlestar fans should ask their retailer about the special "Cylon Silver Foil" edition of New Battlestar Galactica #12, featuring the art of Stephen Segovia!

Dynamite stated, "The grand finale to our first year of New Battlestar Galactica comics is here! Writer Greg Pak - ably aided by artist Nigel Raynor - has crafted an incredible ‘companion' to the Peabody Award-winning Sci-Fi series, and his year long story arc comes to a startling conclusion here! The fate of the Returners, Sharon and the Galactica all hang in the balance!"

The events of Dynamite's Battlestar Galactica comic book series take place in the middle of the second season of SCIFI's hit television show- after the return from Kobol and the arrival of the Pegasus. The series, written by Greg Pak with art by Nigel Raynor, presents an all-new and untold epic of the last survivors of a deadly Cylon attack.

The Cylons were created by man… They rebelled… They evolved… They look and feel human… Some are programmed to think that they are human…There are many copies… And they have a plan.

Dynamite's first Battlestar Galactica story arc (issues #0 - #4) begins the "Saga of the Returners", as the crew of the Galactica discovers a burning medivac ship containing departed crew members, friends and family… alive! Among these "Returners" is Zak, Commander Adama's son who was killed in a flight incident. Quickly, discovery and prophecy turn to explosive treachery as Commander Adama and the crew of the Battlestar Galactica face their most desperate hour. What is the dangerous secret of these "Returners"? Are they Cylons or something far worse? Or do they hold the key that will deliver the Galactica to Earth? As desperate times call for equally desperate measures, Adama takes up a role long left past on a mission with Starbuck and Zak to battle Cylons face-to-face. All this and the return of the antebellum Cylons- but whose side are they on!

Issues #5 through #8 find the crew of the Galactica still recovering from the effects of the "Returners" and facing an unexpected threat from scavenging space pirates while Captain Sharon Valerii makes some startling revelations. As battles erupt on all fronts with Cylon versus Cylon, the scavengers, now under the unexpected command of Sharon, set their sights on the Galactica. Adama's only defense consists of a Returners Brigade as the three different groups of Cylons rush headlong into battle with the Galactica as a prize. By the end of issue #8, loyalties are tested, the mystery of Sharon's true nature begins to unravel and… a journey into the heart of the Cylon Empire!

In the final chapter of Dynamite's Galactica series (issues #9 through #12), the fate of the Returners, Sharon and the Galactica all hang in the balance! With the majority of the Galactica infected by the Returner Virus, Adama lets his desperate measures play out. The truth about the Returners is revealed and in the heart of the Cylon Empire, Sharon finally learns her true origins - but can she handle the shocking revelation.
