ASH AND THE ARMY OF DARKNESS ARE BACK!!!!!!!
New AOD Series "Ashes to Ashes" Features the Return of Ash to a World Ruled by Deadites

June 26, 2007, Runnemede, NJ - DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT today announced that their chainsaw wielding hero of multiple realities, Ashley J. Williams, is returning from the cross-over of all cross-overs!!!!! - the world of  Marvel Zombies - and will be starring in a new Dynamite series, Army of Darkness: From the Ashes! The new AOD series will be written by AOD veteran, James Kuhoric with art by Fernando Blanco and will debut with an amazing painted cover by Arthur Suydam! Scheduled for an August release, Army of Darkness: From the Ashes picks up directly after Ash's afterlife journey to the Marvel Universe, where he "faced" the Marvel Zombies. Also, AOD fans should ask their retailer about the special "Silver Foil" edition of Army of Darkness: From the Ashes #1, featuring the art of Arthur Suydam!

Along with being the "chosen one" in the constant battle against the Deadites and the evil of the Necronomicon, Ashley J. William's adventures in Dynamite's Army of Darkness series have had him trekking through realities and facing horror icons such as the Re-Animator, Darkman and even Dracula. Most recently, Ash finally found some peace as his battle came to a fatal finale, but the rest for the weary didn't last as his afterlife lead him to the dangerous and gruesome world of Marvel Zombies in the smash hit 5 issue limited series Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness. Now Ash has returned to his own world - but what a world it's become! Evil Ash and his Deadite hordes rule the land and everywhere Ash turns is filled with mutants and monsters! Can Ash J. Williams gather his "chosen" and take down the Deadite hordes and restore order to the world? Read on and find out!

Dynamite stated, "If there's a philosophy behind the Army of Darkness series, it's that it's hard to keep a good chosen one down. Ash's trip to the world of Marvel Zombies introduced the action and horror of AOD to a whole new audience, making our deadite-fighting hero more popular than ever. All the action and post-apocalyptic excitement is once again brought to you from the creative team of James Kuhoric and artist Fernando Blanco! And what better way to celebrate than with a cool painted cover by Mr. Marvel Zombie Cover Artist, himself, Arthur Suydam. So, grab your boom-stick, folks, ‘From the Ashes' is going to be a wild ride!"
