October 3, Mt. Laurel, NJ: Dynamite announces a fiendish and fabulous holiday special like no other, as Vampirella stars in her new "Helliday" special releasing on Christmas Day.
The Daughter of Drakulon knows when her fans have been naughty or nice, and this year she's taking on that infamous list of ne'er-do-wells. She's faced it all over the years, from demons, fellow vampires, and her own monstrous family members like sister Draculina and mother Lilith. But this might be her most frightening and unexpected foe yet!
Legendary writer Frank Tieri is joined by artist Mariano Benitez Chapo to spin a decidedly dark winter's tale. Vampirella treks her way to the North Pole, and finds herself facing the frigid conditions and spine-tingling terrors.
"Lets put it this way… I don’t think they’ll be making one of those cutesy Rankin Bass specials out of this one!," said writer Frank Tieri. "We kick things off with some rather unholy goings on at the North Pole… apparently there’s a vampire loose who’s chowing down on elves instead of candy canes and sugarplums. So who gets the call to fix this unmerry mess? Well, Vampirella of course! Problem is, when she IDs the bloodthirsty Grinch, she concludes its none other than good ol’ St Nick himself! So does our favorite vampire hunter save Christmas, or end up decking the halls with Santa’s entrails instead? Whatever the case, we expect to end up on the Naughty list for this one."
The festive fable is decorated with seasonally seductive covers from the likes of Jae Lee, Joseph Michael Linsner, Dan Panosian, and cosplayer Dizzy Ms. Lizzy. They're the perfect bow for this special package featuring 24 story pages, cardstock covers, and all for the standard Dynamite price.
VAMPIRELLA HELLIDAY 2024 SPECIAL is solicited in Diamond Comic Distributors’ October 2024 Previews catalog, the premier source of merchandise for the comic book specialty market, and slated for release in December 2024. Comic book fans are encouraged to preorder copies of the book with their local comic book retailers. It will also be available for individual customer purchase through digital platforms courtesy of Comixology, Kindle, iBooks, Google Play, Dynamite Digital, ComicsPlus, and more! ###
