Vampirella Enters the Armageddon in Fan-Favorite Tom Sniegoski's Next Epic!
| April 24, Mt. Laurel, NJ: The countdown to destruction begins this July, as fan-favorite writer Tom Sniegoski and the Daughter of Drakulon reunite for their next epic together in Vampirella: Armageddon!
In a post-apocalyptic world stands Sepulcher City, a haven for humanity’s survivors, as well as for beings of the supernatural. As in any great metropolis the threat of evil looms, but in Sepulcher there is a difference. Vampirella calls this city her home and will do whatever it takes to protect its residents from the encroaching darkness. As a new age private investigator set up in the Menagerie, an area of the city designated for the more monstrous inhabitants, Vampirella and her newfound werewolf partner Dagwood think they are prepared for anything that might come their way. They're wrong!
When busloads of immigrants coming to walled city to make Sepulcher their home go missing, the raven-haired anti-heroine will have to find out how it connects to a decision from her past, and how it's all linked to a turbulent war being waged in the depths of Hell.
Tom Sniegoski, the most prolific creator in Vampirella's half-century and running history, is back to add to his well over 100 credits with the character. He's joined by artist Kewber Baal (Elvira Meets H.P. Lovecraft, Vengeance of Vampirella) for the hotly anticipated follow up to 2022's Vampirella Strikes.
On his continuing tales of the character, Sniegoski shared, "It’s like slipping into a nice warm sweater. Out of all the characters I’ve written, I seem to find her the most comfortable to write. I just get her — her, and the world in which she lives. It’s always a blast sitting down to come up with her next adventures."
Sniegoski is set to fire on all cylinders, both for fans who have been following his Vampi mythos for over 30 years and total newcomers ready to experience the longest running vampire characters in comic books. Longtime fans will be excited to see the re-introduction of some characters from the 1990s era of the character, while newer fans can jump right into this exciting series full of action, intrigue, and horror in July!
The first issue of Vampirella: Armageddon features variant covers by Francesco Mattina, Lesley "Leirix" Li, and Joseph Michael Linsner. The modern era's most prolific Vampirella cosplay cover model, Rachel Hollon returns as well. Last but certainly not least, one of the industry's scorching superstars in Mark Spears adds a cover — actually two covers, in the form of a fun connecting cover swap with his own smash hit Mark Spears' Monsters series. More information about this thrilling crossover is announced separately!
VAMPIRELLA: ARMAGEDDON #1 is solicited in Diamond Comic Distributors’ May 2025 Previews catalog, the premier source of merchandise for the comic book specialty market, and slated for release in July 2025. Comic book fans are encouraged to preorder copies of the book with their local comic book retailers. It will also be available for individual customer purchase through digital platforms courtesy of Comixology, Kindle, iBooks, Google Play, Dynamite Digital, ComicsPlus, and more!
