    Dynamite Offers Retailers and Fans the Chance to Win Original Art Page and Extremely Limited Edition Alternate Cover Version of Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness #1

    January 10 2007, Runnemede, NJ – DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES details for their latest contest on To help build up anticipation for the upcoming Marvel Zombies vs. The Army of Darkness five-issue event limited series and as a thank you to both the fans and retailers for their overwhelming response to Army of Darkness #13, Dynamite is giving fans and retailers a chance to win incredible Marvel Zombies vs. The Army of Darkness prizes, including an original page of art!!!

    Free to enter, the contest is open now and will run through January 19, 2007. Retailers and fans can take advantage of this free contest by registering their name and email address with Dynamite - which will also allow registered fans and retailers to receive our weekly Dynamite Entertainment newsletter!

    Winners will be selected at random, and prizes consist of:

    Grand Prize: A one-of-a-kind, original art page from Marvel Zombies vs. The Army of Darkness by Dynamite fan favorite artist Fabiano Neves featuring Zombie Hawkeye and Spider-Man!

    First Prizes: 10 First prize winners will each receive a signed and sketched edition of the extremely limited edition alternate cover version of Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness # 1. In true Marvel Zombie tradition, the limited edition cover features an Arthur Suydam “zombie-fied” version of the cover to Uncanny X-Men #137. Arthur Suydam will sign and remark each First Prize issue with an “Ash” sketch.

    Second Prize: 100 Second Prize Winners will each receive a copy of the extremely limited edition alternate cover version of Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness # 1. The cover is part of a special Dynamite limited edition run.

The first run of Army of Darkness #13 has sold out at the distributor level (Diamond Comic Distributors), and a limited edition variant of the Sean Phillips cover is scheduled to fill standing orders and is available for reorder.     The crossover event of ’07, Marvel Zombies vs. The Army of Darkness is a five-issue limited series scheduled for a March release -- The Marvel Zombies come face-to-face with Dynamite Entertainment's Ash from the Army of Darkness! Ash has faced legions of the undead before, but never like this…as he lands in the heart of New York just as the Zombie outbreak begins! See how his actions help turn more heroes and villains into Zombies! Under the watchful eye of Marvel Zombie guru Robert Kirkman, this might just be the comic event of 2007! Plus: The entire series will feature classic “homage” covers from painter Arthur Suydam!

    Marvel Zombies vs. The Army of Darkness will act as a direct prequel - fitting seamlessly into the Marvel Zombies mythos - to last year’s smash Marvel Zombies series which featured “dynamite” covers by Arthur Suydam, crisp scripts by Robert Kirkman and fantastic art by Sean Philips and colorist June Chung!

    Marvel Zombies followed the events in Mark Millar and Greg Land’s Ultimate Fantastic Four #24. The final pages of DYNAMITE’S Army of Darkness #13 by writer James Kuhoric, teases at the upcoming event.     Aw! I'm not a US resident (or a Canadian one, for that matter), and am therefore ineligible to enter. Darn it! If only I weren't Australian, I too could have a shot at obtaining free zombie-related goodness.
