Dynamite Entertainment and The Topps Company are proud to announce today their partnership to develop new comic books and graphic novels for the cult classic Mars Attacks franchise. Dynamite, a leading publisher of licensed science fiction and horror properties including Battlestar Galactica, Army of Darkness, Flash Gordon, and Barbarella, eagerly welcomes the outrageously irreverent spoof of 1950s B-movie sci-fi flicks into its stable with new projects planned for release in Fall 2018.

Nick Barrucci, CEO and publisher of Dynamite Entertainment, says, "We've been conquered! The Little Green Men of Mars Attacks have invaded the Dynamite offices... and we couldn't be more thrilled. To work with the team at Topps, the premier name in trading card entertainment, is a dream come true. We have so many wild plans in the works. Keep watching the skies, folks -- the Dynamite Mars Attacks® comics will be rocketing to your town sooner than you know!"

"Dynamite has the deep appreciation of Mars Attacks that we look for in a partner. Their passion, imagination, and twisted sense of humor are sure to translate into heart-pounding stories with riveting artwork. Comics and Mars Attacks fans are in for a thrilling joy ride," says Ira Friedman, Topps Vice President/Global Licensing.

While Mars Attacks originated as a trading card phenomenon during the 1960s Space Age, its inspiration actually stemmed from the horror and science fiction comic books of the time. The Wally Wood cover to Weird Science #16, published by EC Comics, famously piqued the imagination of product designer Len Brown, who -- with Woody Gelman -- developed the property for Topps. Released first as "Attack from Space", the trading card line quickly was re-branded as Mars Attacks®, and its shocking imagery (illustrated by pulp legend Norm Saunders) at once scandalized adults and drove juveniles wild. Since its 1962 debut, Mars Attacks has invaded store shelves and movie theaters with reissued cards, comic books, and -- of course -- the 1996 Warner Bros. film, directed by Tim Burton and starring Jack Nicholson, Glenn Close, Danny DeVito, Michael J. Fox, and Natalie Portman.

Mars Attacks will be solicited in an upcoming issue of Diamond Previews catalog, the comic industry's premier source of merchandise for the comic book specialty market, and will also be available for individual customer purchase through digital platforms courtesy of Comixology, Kindle, iBooks, Google Play, Dynamite Digital, iVerse, Madefire, and Dark Horse Digital. Fans are encouraged to follow Dynamite Entertainment's social media channels for the latest updates on Mars Attacks comic books and graphic novels.

She's a heartbreaker and a slayer! The iconic bad girl Chastity is back in a new limited series in September from Dynamite!

Industry sensation Leah Williams (Gwenpool, Barbarella/Dejah Thoris) will be writing the series, with her infamous energy translating well into the Chaos! mythos. She's joined by artist Daniel Maine (Robyn Hood).

In this all-new entry to the Chaos! universe, Chastity has been kidnapped while auditioning for a prestigious burlesque show. She wakes up surrounded by other young women in chains on a spooky cruise ship. Her captors have made a VERY grave mistake, and they will learn that through Chastity's grindhouse rampage to free herself and her fellow victims.

Chastity is a young punk rock fan turned vampire. Unfortunately, didn't have the romantic kind of transformation, so she has made it her mission to hunt and slay her fellow occult beings. All while sporting some fun style and an equally killer attitude.

For this awaited return of Chastity in her own series, a handful of top tier artists are contributing covers. Clayton Crain's style is perfect for the horror-tinged Chaos! characters, given his work on gritty titles like Venom and X-Force. Dynamite legend Nick Bradshaw (Wolverine & the X-Men, Army of Darkness) returns once again to his alma mater for a cover that heavily inspired Chastity's latest design. Hot rising star cover artists Catherine Nodet (X-Files) and David Nakayama (Ant-Man & the Wasp, Secret Agent Deadpool) have covers. A special J. Scott Campbell "Carve Out" cover calls back to the start of the Dynamite Chaos! era. To round things out, the master Jay Anacleto (Hercules, Vampirella/Dejah Thoris) will have a cover.

"Chastity’s fascinating. She’s one of western comics’ original hottie bad girls!," said ...

The Kevin Smith ComiXology sale ENDS TOMORROW! Click here to see the deals!

Everyone knows Kevin Smith! You better! The fan-favorite filmmaker has written and directed movies that are talked about endlessly. His breakout indie success Clerks, the increasingly larger scale cult classics Mallrats and Chasing Amy. Today fans anxiously await the ironically named Jay and Silent Bob Reboot and can catch Smith on his multiple podcasts and hosting duties. But you may also know that Smith is a huge comic book fan and has taken a crack at writing them. He's pretty darn good too! His run on Daredevil with Joe Quesada spearheaded the Marvel Knights imprint and he resurrected Green Arrow Oliver Queen. He's also worked with Dynamite...

Kevin Smith wrote screenplays for big budget revivals of the Green Hornet and the Six Million Dollar Man. Unfortunately, these films were never realized, despite Smith's fun scripts. Dynamite stepped in though and decided to help bring these stories to light in some form. Working with great artists like Alex Ross, Phil Hester and Jonathan Lau, Smith told these tales in comic books, to fan and critical acclaim.

And they're on sale right now!

Thorne’s definitive style is brought into the third dimension and your collection in this 1/6 scale collectible statue sculpted and painted lovingly based on the cover to Marvel Feature #4. The Steve Kiwus sculpted piece stands a stunning 12.5 inches tall and features Sonja in a classic pose.

Through her nearly 50 year history, many artists have left their mark on the She-Devil with a Sword. Arguably none have impacted the heroine quite like Frank Thorne. His clean lines, fluid action and slight hint of eroticism on Red Sonja catapulted the character from a supporting footnote in Hyrkanian lore to a worldwide fan-favorite solo star. Through his judging of “Lookalike Contests” in his "Wizard" persona at early conventions, Thorne and Sonja fans even contributed to the rise of cosplay!

After contributing for a few years to western, war and mystery anthologies, Frank Thorne's popularity exploded when he was handed the artistic reigns of everyone's favorite Hyrkanian hero. Across barely a three year run, his Red Sonja work cemented him as one of the most treasured and respected artists of the era. Thorne then opted to venture into more independent and risque waters, with his creations the barbarienne Ghita of ...

Dynamite announces that Peter Cannon: Thunderbolt will be collected in a deluxe oversized hardcover format for fans to fully appreciate and treasure the critically acclaimed limited series.

Not only is Kieron Gillen writing superheroes again... Not only is Pete Morisi's iconic Charlton hero back again... The series turns the mirror around to reflect the deconstruction of the legendary text, Watchmen. Peter Cannon of course served as the template for Alan Moore's Ozymandias, alongside the other characters inspired by Charlton Action Heroes. What if the inspirations get to respond to this modern post-Watchmen landscape of the medium?

The ambitious series by a perfectly in-synch creative team wowed fans and critics when it debuted at the beginning of 2019. Kieron Gillen, the Eisner-nominated and fan-favorite Uncanny X-Men, Darth Vader, The Wicked + Divine scribe is matched by rising artist extraordinaire Caspar Wijngaard (Limbo, Assassin's Creed), colorist Mary Safro (Drugs & Wires) and renaissance man and Eisner-nominee Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou (Lone Ranger, Shanghai Red) on letters. Additionally, this editions contains all the gorgeous and fun covers of the series by Kris Anka (Runaways), Kevin Wada (Buffy The Vampire Slayer), Chip Zdarsky (Daredevil), Sean Phillips (Criminal), Christian Ward (Thor), Paulina Ganucheau (Xena) and more! All bringing 110% to this series. The next classic text? You be the judge.

This edition will collect the entire series in a high quality hardcover with pages measuring 7.2 by 11.2 inches. Readers can marvel at Wijngaard and Safro's art at this larger size. And even Ostmane-Elhaou's subtle lettering tricks, especially in the game-changing fourth issue.

Kieron sums it up in short, "This is the superhero comic I'm most proud of. It also has at least three funny jokes. This is all I've ever wanted."
