Dynamite Entertainment is proud to announce that Mercy Thompson #1, the first issue in a six-issue miniseries by fan-favorite author Patricia Briggs, will be released in print and digital formats on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Co-written by Rik Hoskin and illustrated by Tom Garcia, the new Mercy Thompson comic book series is set within official continuity with the successful novel series, and features a story never before told in any other medium.

Originally announced in May 2014, the storyline - entitled "Hopcross Jilly" - follows the titular heroine, a shape-shifting coyote and honorary member of the Tri-Cities werewolf pack. When her pack stumbles upon the buried bones of numerous dead children, Mercy finds herself drawn into a mystery of the legendary fae… one that may result in her death. Longtime Mercy Thompson fans will be rewarded to see that Mercy's step-daughter, Jesse, takes her place in the spotlight for the first time.

Patricia Briggs says, "‘Hopcross Jilly' explores the darker side of the fae in a way I could never do with words alone. The graphics remind me of the horror comics I read in the seventies, and the impact adds immeasurably to the story. The synergy between Rik Hoskin, Tom Garcia, and I has been exciting from this side of the page - and the result is better than I dreamed it could be."

Dynamite CEO/Publisher Nick Barrucci says, "Patricia is a fantastic writer who has woven an incredible tapestry within the world of Mercy Thompson. The brand new story she laid out is fantastic, and we're fortunate that she's involved every step of the way. She hand-picked Rik Hoskins and Tom Garcia to help craft this incredible tale. We're honored that Patricia is working with us to bring this new chapter in Mercy's life to fans around the world."

Mercy Thompson #1 will be solicited in Diamond Comic Distributors' August Previewscatalog, the premiere source of merchandise for the comic book specialty market, and slated for release in October. Comic book fans are encouraged to reserve copies ofMercy Thompson #1 with their local comic book retailers. Mercy Thompson will also be available for individual customer purchase through digital platforms courtesy of Comixology, iVerse, and Dark Horse Digital.

In life, Bettie Page was the undisputed queen of the pin-up. Her legacy has lived on through comic books for decades. In March 2019, Dynamite is celebrating with a special 32-page one-shot showcasing all the beautiful covers from the Dynamite comics.

Bettie Page is an icon and an influence the world over, not only to strong women, but also to creators including the painter Olivia, and in the comics market none so famously as Dave Stevens. Dave's influence for Betty in The Rocketeer is entirely based on Bettie Page. And Dave created a very iconic scene of Betty with a photographer for a pin-up shoot. Before, and moreso since then, Bettie has inspired comic book artists and fans all over. Since 2017, Dynamite Entertainment has brought fans the newly declassified super spy adventures of the globetrotting Bettie. Cleverly written by David Avallone (Elvira Mistress of the Dark) and a talented gang of artists including Julius Ohta (Sherlock Holmes: The Vanishing Man) in the just launched ongoing series available now.

Though the stories and art inside of the comics are always what keep fans coming back to their favorites every month, sometimes you can judge a book by its cover. Fans have been gushing about the gorgeous covers that grace Dynamite’s Bettie Page issues. Such as Terry Dodson’s “reverse homage” for the first issue of the miniseries, drawing Bettie herself in the same situation as the Dave Stevens classic, ...

Dynamite Entertainment announces a reimagining of the iconic and bionic 1970s TV sensation, The Six Million Dollar Man. Starting in March 2019, writer Christopher Hastings (Gwenpool, Deadpool, Adventure Time) and artist David Hahn (Batman ’66, Bombshells) will traverse the globe with Colonel Steve Austin – and hopefully survive the experience!

The time: the 1970s. The place: Japan. Rather than a full team of highly trained soldiers, Japanese secret agent Niko Abe is sent one single man to help her on a mission. Things go awry when everyone’s favorite atomic powered agent immediately finds his cybernetically altered body failing him. His $6 million enhancements – $23 million adjusted for inflation in 2018 – are dwindling in value and effectiveness. Any minute now he may be the Six Thousand Dollar Man. He must fight through it though, and against both samurai AND the KGB.

The Six Million Dollar Man #1 will feature colors by Roshan Kurchiyanil and letters by Ariana Maher. As well as covers from Michael Walsh (Secret Avengers), Yasmine Putri (Nightwing), Francesco Francavilla (Batman) and Denis Medri (Red Hood/Arsenal).

Dynamite Entertainment is excited to announce the next installment of the Battlestar Galactica saga as writer Michael Moreci (Roche Limit, Hoax Hunters) and artist Breno Tamura (Batgirl and the Birds of Prey) take the helm of in Twilight Command, coming this winter!

In the spirit of Rogue One—but all BSG—Battlestar Galactica: Twilight Command follows a group of men and women who’ve lost everything, who’ve compromised their souls and are in need of redemption—and they find it on New Caprica, in a one-way mission that will set the stage to free the human race from Cylon occupation.

bsg1.jpg

"I'm not kidding when I say that this is the exact story I've been wanting to tell since I watched Battlestar Galacticawhen it first aired. I always thought there were so many stories to tell on New Caprica, and being able to expand the Battlestar Galactica world with new characters--and old favorites--is so amazing,” said writer Michael Moreci. “Not only that, but this is a bit of a different kind of Battlestar Galactica story. I liken it to what Rogue One did for Star Wars; it maintained the spirit while creating something new.”

“This series is a stellar addition to the Battlestar Galacticacanon,” said Nick Barrucci, CEO and Publisher of Dynamite Entertainment. “We've had the distinct pleasure of publishing Battlestar Galactica stories for over a decade and Twilight Command will no doubt be a fan favorite."

“As a huge Battlestar Galactica fan, this is the exact kind of story I'd want to see, and I'm thrilled to be telling it," added Moreci.

Dynamite Entertainment today announced plans to launch a brand new ongoing Red Sonja series as Eisner-nominated author Mark Russell (The Flintstones) and artist Mirko Colak (Conan) deliver a savage story of metal and blood in 2019!

In Red Sonja, Russell and Colak bring forth the tale of Tomyris, a world conqueror possessing a massive army and a fatal prophecy. A bastard sorceress craves revenge. And a fearsome red-haired warrior is made wartime ruler of a homeland set for decimation. No man knows the place of her birth, nor where she learned to wield a sword to shame many a male. They know only that she is called The She-Devil Of The Hyrkanian Steppes. That, and RED SONJA.

"I’m a huge fan of ancient history because there’s no clear line where the history ends and legend begins, so in a way, all ancient history is a work of fantasy," stated author Mark Russell. "I really wanted to write a fantasy title that allowed me to work in some of the incredible stories and themes of ancient history, in particular, the story of Tomyris, the bad-ass Queen of the Steppes, and it’s hard to imagine a better character to tell that story than Red Sonja, the bad-ass Queen of Comics."

red sonja1.PNG

"Mark Russell’s take on Sonja is steeped in greater-than-fiction history, with a humongous worldview. Sonja will be the focus, but what’s exciting is to see the lore and world-building that Mark’s infusing into this new ongoing, to create a fusion of modern storytelling while placing big classical elements front and center," added series editor Nate Cosby. "The rest of the creative team is in perfect harmony with the approach…artist Mirko Colak is drawing ...
